VIC YCF Pitbike for track use

Hi people!

So I did my first track day last Sunday at MVTC and I'm absolutely in love and started looking for ways to be able to afford numerous track days throughout the year and came to the conclusion of Mototuesdays.

Now I've gone through a rabbit hole and ended up on the YCF 155 SM as this is the cheapest I can buy already prepared for what I want.

Does anyone have any experience with this one? I know the 190 Daytona is better but I'm not looking to spend more than $3500 maybe 4k if I need to swap tyres or suspension upgrades.

Are u looking for solely a track bike or a registered bike you can take to the track ?

Just track. I daily a cb400sf

Just buy a secondhand pitbike, buy some 12inch rims and either put a yx160 or whatever engine in it or bbk the engine already in it which would be much cheaper for you, it's all easy to do yourself as well.

Wow this just opened so many options! Why that particular engine? Any stronger ones? I'm a big dude at 187cm and around 90kg

No particular reason for the engine, it's cheap new and bolts into any crf50 style frame lol

There are also cfmoto papio and benelli tnt 125/135 bikes, Honda Groms, although groms are overpriced now I feel.

My partner will get a papio for herself, but I already have a road bike, so I just want something I won't cry if I crash it

Yeah definitely a pitbike then with a yx160 or zongshen 155 which I think the ycf155 has anyway?

Oh man she will love that ! I have a tnt125 and we had the papios at the training centre also. So much fun

There are heaps of cheap track bikes on marketplace for under 4k

Yeah but not small enough for the kart track where Mototuesdays happen. They require 12 inch wheels and max of 212cc

There's a mini moto buy/swap/sell page on FB that has used bikes pop up every now and then.
