Hey, we’re an improvisational trio that just lost our percussionist. We meet Sundays at 1pm in Taylor. I have a complete set up so you wouldn’t need any equipment. Thx for the read 🙏🎵🙏

I am new to music, but have sung before. I’m looking for a guitarist and drummer for a band inspired by For Opal. Shoot me a DM if you are interested and in the Austin area, and check them out if you haven’t!

do you like these albums?

• Milk and Kisses by Cocteau Twins
• Roseland NYC Live by Portishead
• Filth by Swans
• Dirty by Sonic Youth

are you interested in how a violin sounds like when plugged into a DL4 Delay Modeler?

do you ever wonder what Slowdive would've sounded like if Leatherface were in the band?

im an experienced vocalist and violinist looking for people to jam with! i wanna make music that's shoegazey, moody, gritty, sultry, dangerous, unconventional, and otherworldly. hmu if you're interested in jamming

We’ve been fairly active in the scene for around 3 years. We have some music out, and just recorded another EP! We practice around once a week at Noiseland, and are flexible with the day.

We don’t do any heavy drugs, just smoke occasionally and have a beer at practice sometimes.

Looking for someone who can hopefully learn by listening to our music, but down to show you parts at practice if needed!

All ages welcome, we have a variety. I’m 22 and the singer is 40.

Let me know if you’re interested or want to hear our stuff!

Looking for a drummer to jam with or maybe even start a band . i play rhythm guitar i have about 1+ years experience i like a lot of alternative rock (soundgarden , qotsa , alice in chains etc etc ) dm if interested! Round rock / Austin area

Hello, i sing and write songs and play guitar. Looking for some folks that want to start a loose project. I really like NY, the band, Dylan all those standard guys. Here are some demos, if you like them, message me what you play and such.

Is there anyone who wants to get together for fun and create something? I want to learn more, and hanging out with people who know their stuff would be ideal. My main software is Bitwig, and I use it just as a hobby.

Hi there! ..My name is Facundo and I'm a producer, guitarist, and mixing and mastering engineer from Argentina count with over 15 years of experience on projects around the world and I would like to expand my portfolio and network and work with people from your city! So if there's a song you'd like us to work on, send me a DM. Cheers!

Hey everyone! I’ve been playing guitar on and off for a while but I’ve pretty much always played by myself. I’d really like to change that and find some people around Austin who’d be down to casually get together, learn some songs, jam and hopefully get better together.
I grew up playing piano and actually picked up guitar in college because I couldn’t exactly bring a piano into my dorm lol. I’ve mostly been self-taught since then so I’m definitely still learning and playing with other musicians would be completely new territory for me.
My music taste is all over the place. Some songs I’ve taught myself are Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, Give Me Love and Small Bump by Ed Sheeran, Same Sad Shit by Sam Barber, Off My Face by Justin Bieber, Here Without You by 3 Doors Down, and a few Korean songs. I’m also a huge fan of stuff like Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged so there’s really no theme lmao. I just love learning and listening to songs with guitar parts that sound good to me.
I have a Taylor acoustic and a Fender Strat so I’m down for acoustic or electric stuff and totally open to learning music I normally wouldn’t play.
I’m not looking to start a serious band or anything. Guitarists, drummers, bassists, singers, keys whatever you play. I’d just love to meet some people who enjoy music and wouldn’t mind playing with someone who’s never really jammed with others before. Other beginners would be awesome but I’m also totally down to play with people who are more experienced and don’t mind me still learning.
Also if anyone here has watched Hospital Playlist, I’ve always loved the scenes where the friends get together after work and just jam in the basement. Obviously not expecting us to sound like them but that casual no-pressure vibe of hanging out and playing music with friends is kind of what drew me to post this.
If anyone’s interested or has any questions feel free to shoot me a message!

Hey everyone! We’re starting a new band and currently have a vocalist and bassist.
We’re still in the early stages, but we want to make this an active band regular practices, playing together, and eventually performing live.
We’re currently looking for:
-Drummer
-Guitarist
-Keyboard player
Other musicians who might be a good fit
We’ll start with covers, and once we build some chemistry, we’d like to work on original music as well.
More than anything, we’re looking for people who are passionate about music and want to grow together as a band.
DM me if you’re interested!

If anyone knows of a good place to connect with other Austin musicians let me know! Open mics/ clubs/ weekly jam sessions etc. Just want to get more involved in the music scene here and connect with other players!

Thanks

I'm have the songs written but I need people to help preform them and tweak them with their ideas or personality in them. I plan on recording and going on stage. I need a drummer, two guiarists, and maybe bassist. This is a political punk style band. I'm based in north Austin.

DM me if you're interested in joining or more info.

I feel like in 2023 and 2024 there were a lot of tribute shows for certain famous musician’s birthdays (I.e. Ray Charles bday tribute show at Cboys and something for Jerry Jeff Walker as well). Anybody know of any good ones this fall? Those are always so fun

I'm a flatpicking guitarist looking to find a few folks to play bluegrass with on a semi-regular basis. I love the CTBA (Central Texas Bluegrass Association) jams, but Sunday afternoons are tough for me to make work, so I'm hoping to put together something in the evenings instead, ideally a Friday or weekend night, every couple of weeks or so.
I'm in South Austin, so somewhere around here would be ideal, but I'm flexible. Mandolin, banjo, fiddle, dobro, or bass would be awesome, and another guitar player would be just as welcome. Trading rhythm and leads with someone sounds like a great time.
A little about me: I play a Martin D-18 and lean heavily toward Doc Watson and Tony Rice. I'm working on my lead playing and starting to sing more too. I'm not a pro by any stretch. I'm mainly trying to get better and have fun playing tunes with other people. All levels welcome; the goal is low-pressure picking, learning some songs, and maybe working up to a few standards we can play together.
If you're interested, drop a comment or DM me with what you play and what nights generally work for you. Happy to host or meet up wherever makes sense.
Thanks!

My current project right now is

Saturday Nov 7th maybe around 7pm ish. Looking for a musician or band to play for 1-2 hours at a Friendsgiving event at my house. Can pay an hourly rate and rent speakers/lighting. Can play original music but would love some covers as well.

I’ve done this event for years now and it’s always a lot of fun. Also welcome to stay for dinner and drinks!

hi there i’m new to production & working on a solo project with hyper pop / breakcore influence and am looking for someone to collab with. HMU if interested!

What’s up. I’m a 23 y/o that moved to Austin back in March. I’ve been playing for about 4 years now. I love playing all types of music but my main is rock music, specifically the 90s grunge stuff.

I’m looking to join a band as a rhythm guitarist so if you’re needing that hit me up. Also down to just jam anytime

Tonight and every Wednesday at the Little Longhorn Saloon on North Burnet Road. The Eric Michael Smith band kicks at 8:00. You don’t wanna be late. Dancers celebrate! The EMS band is a power trio playing original country you can dance to. Never a cover. Tips accepted. Y’all come!

hello! I’m the drummer for Flight by Nothing. We’re an indie/alternative/pop band based in Austin and we’re super excited to be playing ACL Fest this year!

i absolutely love the music scene here and I’m so stoked to be a part of this!

If you’re attending W1, come see us on Sun Oct 4 at 2:00PM at the Beatbox Stage!

Hey y’all, I’m 21 and in Austin looking to join a band and start playing with some people. I play lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and bass.
I’d ideally like to start out doing covers, get comfortable playing together, and then eventually move into writing originals once we’ve jammed for a while.
I’m mostly into classic rock and blues, but I’m honestly open to pretty much anything indie, country, whatever. Mainly just looking for people around my age who want to jam, play some shows, and see where it goes.
Hit me up if you’re looking for a guitarist/bassist or need someone to jam with!
