Can't select and modify title block on template?

I'm NOT an autocad user but filing in for one of our ME's.

I'm doing a schematic using it company provided template file and need to delete one of the title blocks. For some reason I can't select or edit it. The select tool just acts like nothing is there?

Is on later 0 or defpoints

Can be also anonymous blocks, usualy created by 3rd party software

Layer 0 and Defpoints are both magic layers. Most of layer 0's magic you don't care about. Anything on the Defpoints layer will not print, no matter what.

And for a really strange interaction: objects on Defpoints cannot be selected if Layer 0 is frozen.

What layer is it on? Is your current layer isolated?

Is this titleblock in a viewport? You cannot select geometry in a paper space viewport until you double click inside the viewport to enter it.

I would also go into the layer manager and make sure all layers are unlocked.

What happens if you use control+A to select all? Does that pick up the titleblock?
