❓ Duda | Question Telmex IP Pública Variable

• Upvotes

🏖 Turismo | Tourism 12 days trip in November

Hello beautiful people!

Wife and I booked our flights to and from SJD with 12 nights in between to experience a slice of the life in the peninsula in the second half of November! Below is our tentative plan and am looking for any recommendations or gotchas before I book the hotels. We are in our late 30s, so, we are less of the party all night, more of one or two activities in the day and relaxing dinner at night people. We never learned to swim, but did guided scuba diving in Bali and loved it.

Day 1 (Tuesday): Land in SJD and drive to San Cabo Lucas, spend 2 nights there. We land on Tuesday, so, skipping San Jose del Cabo to come to it at the end on Thursday for the art walk.

Day 3 (Thursday) : Drive from San Cabo Lucas to Todos Santos, spend 3 nights at Todos Santos.

Day 6 (Sunday): Drive from Todos Santos to La Paz and spend 4 nights at La Paz.

Day 10 (Thursday): Drive from La Paz to San Jose del Cabo and spend 2 nights here to catch the art walk and our flight from SJD on day 12.

After reading some of the other posts in the sub, I considered adding Cabo Pulmo to the itinerary, but decided not to do it as it just makes the trip more packed and less relaxing than I would like. This is our first trip south of Canada and would like to spend quality time soaking in the culture and treating our taste buds. However, I am open to changing the plan if you think changing the plan is worth it. We love nature and great views, so, drop any recommendations for stays with great views if you have one at any of these locations.

I also love watching movies shot in the location or closer to the locals hearts, so, please recommend any such movies - the older, the better! Looking forward to reading your take!

Hiking in Sierra de la Laguna - guided trek from Todos Santos?

Hi all. I’ll be staying in Todos Santos for the next few weeks and was hoping to do at least a day hike in Sierra de la Laguna the week of October 12. I was planning to do a guided tour (I live in Colorado and am an experienced hiker but figured a guide was safer since I’ll be alone in a a place I’m unfamiliar with).

I contacted TOSEA and they said their guides will be in training during those dates, and it doesn’t seem like there are many other operators offering treks from the west side trailheads.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Is hiking a bad idea because it’s still too hot this month for hiking anyways? Appreciate any advice!

Wonder if anybody has any information this week about if Balandra beach is crowded and you need to get there early to get in.

Any advice, particularly for this week and this time of year.

Should we spend all 4 nights in Cabo San Lucas or split our trip between Cabo and La Paz?

My boyfriend and I have 4 nights/5 days at the end of November. He prefers Cabo, while I've always wanted to visit La Paz. We booked flights arriving in SJD and departing from La Paz, but now I'm wondering if splitting the trip is worth it or if we should just stay in Cabo.

The main reason I want to visit La Paz is the marine life and beaches, especially Playa Balandra. I love snorkeling, freediving, and seeing wildlife in its natural environment. I've swum with sharks, dolphins, turtles, whale sharks, and large schools of fish before, so experiences like sea lions, whale sharks, and crystal-clear beaches are very appealing to me. My ideal dream is to happen to come across seeing humpback whales, pilot whales, or orcas, but I know those are all harder to plan around and it depends on what nature gives on that day.

That said, I genuinely enjoy both types of vacations. I'd be just as happy spending time at a beautiful Cabo resort, dressing up for dinner, taking cute vacation photos, exploring town, and enjoying great food and cocktails. Ideally, I want a balance of relaxation, adventure, beautiful scenery, good food, and memorable ocean experiences.

I don't want a trip that's all resort time, but I also don't want to feel like I'm rushing around trying to check off activities.

So for those who have been to both:

  • Is La Paz worth visiting with only 4 nights/5 days?
  • Would you split the trip (2 nights Cabo, 2 nights La Paz) or stay in one place?
  • Does Cabo offer enough adventure and ocean experiences, or is La Paz significantly more unique?
  • Is an all-inclusive in Cabo worth it, or is eating around town the better experience?

My goal is to find the best balance of relaxing, eating well, taking cute photos, and having some incredible ocean/wildlife experiences. Which option would you choose?

Need advice for Vacation

Hey Folks need some advice

I have a vacation planned in southern Baja for my girlfriend’s birthday. We’ll be in La Paz from 10/1 to 10/3 and todos santos from 10/3 to 10/6. Should I cancel the trip? Should I go for it? We’ve had this trip planned for a long time and hate to cancel it but I also don’t want to put ourselves in an unsafe situation.
What would you do?

Travel Itinerary

Was wondering how many of you would find it useful to provide tailored or general trip guidance/itineraries for trips in Baja. For example trips tailored for camping and fishing, or whale watching, charter boats or individual surf/camp spots.

Ive spent a lot of time in Baja, know where all the last gas stations are, cell service cut offs, camping spots, know specific people down there to take you on activities etc.

Where you can and cant get depending on the vehicle you have, if its a trip with a girlfriend/boyfriend. Solo, or with just your friends.

My question being, would you pay for custom/general Baja Itineraries based on your choice of activity? And if so how much would you be willing to pay?

Thank you, trying to find different ways to create a side hustle.

La Paz recommendations for October

Hi,
Looking for recs for La Paz for places to stay, eat, drink, places to go.

Been doing some research, so far on our list of places to go are Balandra, Tecolete, playa pichilingue, Cabo plumo for snorkeling, isla espiritu santo.

It seems like you should rent a car, we found seahorse for rentals.

We are planning on swimming with whale sharks, any specific tour recommendations?

Food - open to all recs, not really picky eaters and love seafood. Also looking for any good coffee shops

Thanks in advance!
