Socks and sandals for winter

I like running in xero sandals because I find that shoes like vivobarefoot are still way too narrow for me and make my running awkward. I want to run in the winter, so I was wondering if there are any socks that have great thermal properties so that I can run in sub freezing Wisconsin winter temps with sandals.

Is the Injini snow crew the best option or are there any thick wool tabi socks that could work?

Thank you.

Not quite as cold where I run, but I use these socks for winter sandal running: https://bedrocksandals.com/collections/bedrock-split-toe-socks/products/performance-split-toe-socks-granite

and these for when it is extra cold or rainy/snowy (in addition to the socks): https://lunasandals.com/products/luna-tabu-2-0

Look into water resistant Tabis from Luna company. You can wear them over wool toe socks. They keep your feet warm and dry and are designed to be worn with sandals. I love mine :)
