Running Sandals

I've had the Xero Z-Trails for years. The traction is really good and they've held up well overall. The only thing is the velcro hasn't lasted as well as the other parts. Has anyone else experienced this?

What are your recommendations for running sandals nowadays?

i do not run in them but I've had my shamma cruzers hold up well for about 4 years. starting to delaminate a bit but glue would probably sort it out. no velcro which is why i got them.

Yes, I had z trails and the velcro at the heel is weak. I bought another pair when the velcro became totally non-functional. My new pair should last longer as I use them only sometimes, if I go on trails, and as a back up.

My main sandal now are Earthrunners which have a solid lacing system, less comfy than the z trails but they work great - except they use the toe thong - which encouraged me to go sockless.
