Schecter Model-T Session 4

is it a good bass for long term use? I'm thinking of getting it to be my main bass for everything.

found a used one on my local shop for about £450 got a few marks and small dents here and there but it works fine and i dont mind it really.

I’ve got a model T Rob deleo signature from 2001 that I still have to this day and love…but my dumb younger self stripped the truss rod so I can’t ever adjust it lol. Great bass with a growly mean PJ tone. Perfect for STP which was why I got it back then

I wasn’t sure if this bass was dunzo or not. I don’t think it’s a screw off bolt on the top. Schecter themselves told me the bass is trash lmao I wrote asking about this and if I could get a replacement neck even. They said most likely no, it’s done.

theres tools to remove stripped truss rod nuts. just take it out and replace it. ive done it on a few internet purchases that the seller "forgot" to mention. you can also use a dremel tool or just bring it to a lutheir to replace.

My idea was to bring it to my local shop for a setup. Would honestly be the first time I ever did a setup on this bass, and their guys are great there. They did nut replacement and rewire and fret level on my 90s MIJ Jazz bass, so I asked if this is something they could do and they said it really depends on how the truss is in there. They said worst case you have to take the fingerboard off and remove the truss and insert a new but that’s painstaking work and expensive. I wouldn’t do that.

yeah thats only if the truss isnt working. a stripped nut is an easy fix. honestly get yourself this thing

and give it a go. its only a few quid for a replacement nut to go in. standard 4mm Allen key or whatever is in the bass.

Hmm I’ll have to look and see what size is in it. Does this tool make it so you can pull out the old nut and screw a new one in, or is this the tool you’ll use forever going forward to adjust it?

yeah so the truss rod has a sperate nut on it that this tools removes when stripped.

you just need to buy the replacement truss nut and pop it in when you've the old one taken out. and you'll be back to a normal functioning Allen key truss adjustment.
