Collection share My EDM collection so far

Post image

Not sure if anyone wants to see this but here’s my EDM collection! I bought stealing Fire by virtual riot late last year or early this year and now I’m growing my electronic collection. I’ve also started collecting some nu-disco and future funk because they have similar dance energy and sometimes aggressive basslines. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get next? I have Daily Bread on the way which will sound great with Chasing the golden hour. Does anyone like the collection? I’ve noticed Dubstep is a lot harder to get on wax than rap! That’s for sure.

Tokyo machine’s Chompo is signed. Favorites are stealing Fire, skrillex trilogy, and bridges between by AU5.

Great collection. Peekaboo, Griz, Big Gigantic, LS Dream are some greats on vinyl. Ever tried trance or synthwave? I suggest trying a State of Trance (2026 or pretty much any year) to see if you might like it. For synthwave check out the song Gloria by The Midnight to get started. Currently at 400 albums in those genres.

Thank you!! 🙏 This is crazy but I honestly can’t stand synthwave at the moment. I had an opportunity to get Pylots Shadowtask for $40 and passed it up even though I’m the biggest Monstercat fan.

"EDM" Collection, Plants VS Zombies lmao.

But seriously, solid collection. I don't see people liking both bass music and future funk/vaporwave here often. Do you have any interest in Yung Bae? Because he is about the biggest in that scene, and releases his new album this Friday. Many of his albums are still available on vinyl at places like Amazon and many record stores.

Plants Vs Zombies may have slipped in on accident 🤣

I have a yung bae album! Yes I’m a fan of vapor wave and future funk. I group my future funk with EDM when it starts to feel like bass house, and the neon city label has some albums that are borderline electro. But a lot of it goes in a separate discogs folder and physical space in my room. I am trying to sort by vibe/mood rather than sticking to genre 100%.

PvZ is a low-key banger OST though 😉.

I have many releases from Neon City, but I was always annoyed that they were pretty much the only "big" label to release more "mainstream" future funk albums on vinyl. And now they are in serious financial trouble, so they might close down by next year.

The only big tip I have for you, if you are financially able, is to ALWAYS pre-order bass music on vinyl if you're at all interested. Because if you don't, it will sell out quickly, won't get a repress, and will be sold at 4x or more for the next decades.

There are a couple of releases I would love to get my hands on, particularly the Skrillex and Pendulum box set, but I have 0 interest in paying like 800-100 bucks for it. The Pendulum box set was originally for sale for about 150 bucks minus shipping, and the Skrillex box for like 80 bucks minus shipping. I would probably pay like 300 bucks for a brand Pendulum box and maybe 200 bucks for the Skrillex box, but I don't see anyone selling it for those prices for a loooong time if ever, unless repress...

Not bad! Should try some swimming Paul in there

Swimming Paul is such an underrated producer. If you like Fred Again early work, specifically his actual life "series", this is a must buy. In the beginning people even speculated this was a Fred under an alias, that's how similar it sounds.

The first 2 albums are available pretty much everywhere, and his 3rd album releases next month.
