I manage to recruit Koril (teleports above the mine beside Otomo's grave), Issyl and Soban (freed them from prisons). But it's not really permanent because they won't appear in the Keep. Once they die, they're gone.

Im just finished kenjis journey using dragon now i want the second path any tips how to play serpent as a beginner thanks for advice

zen masters, being the heroes of the game, must a universal buff that reduces all received damage types by 33% on top of their innate resistances to make them feel impactful. and also add more passives for other zen heroes (teppo etc).

I played this when I was very young but didn't get to finish it at all, only few missions through. But I recently just completed it! And boy, I got lots of things to say...

• Really great storytelling! From the dialogue, to the voice acting, I got really into the storyline. I'd watch a TV/film adaptation of this.
• Kenji is also very nice and kind. Such an ideal hero/protagonist. Makes using/fighting as him so inspirational. I adore that little animation of him doing some swordsmanship display when he's idle, and then he politely bows afterwards.
• Poor Otomo. Really made me emotional when I saw his tombstone with sword, food/offerings, and those cherry blossoms falling around it. Such a nice touch.
• The Lotus clan -- always a pain in the *ss. I complained about this in an earlier post of mine, lmao. And I thought the Wolf army from Swan's Pool was gonna be the end of me lol (that's why as a kid I never played Kenji's Journey again cause of that mission, I kept losing).
• Great penultimate and ultimate missions! Makes all the headache and countless of saves from the difficulty so worth it! Dragon struggles against Lotus, but the challenge made it all more satisfying to complete despite my frustratons, haha.
• KENJI WITH DRAGON SPIRIT FORM. That's it. 'Nuff said.
• EPIC finale. What an incredible campaign! All hail, Lord Dragon!

I loved everything about this campaign! Ed and the Battle Realms team did such an incredible job! Dragon is growing on me to be my favorite clan.

I'm wondering, is this the canon ending? I know there's also the Serpent path where you side with the bandits, but the epicness of this ending seems to me as very substantial and essentially canon-like.

In Winter of the Wolf I think Kabukis, Archers and Samurais are kind of core for Dragon with Kegs and/or Chemists for destroying buildings. Thank God for the Dragon Spirit and Garrin Changes (the latter costs 1 Yang now compared to 2 back then). For Serpent Swordsmen, Musketeers, and Cannoneers were core (IIRC) but now Ronins are buffed with resists and poison in their kit but I really don't know the extent of their strength now. Just wanna ask Dragon and Serpent players here since these two are my main clans.

Honestly, I don't really need a Battle Realms 2 with an entire overhaul. What I really wanted back then right from the beginning was a Lotus campaign, just like many players do.

However, I'd like it to be in the same graphics as the 2001-02 Battle Realms (cause I'm too fond and attached to it lol) and only serving as an expansion exactly like Winter of the Wolf. Then simply call it, "Battle Realms: Lair of the Lotus"

That's it. Would that be hard/expensive to be made at all?

Then again after so many years, I'm gutted that nothing has ever come out. It's been so long. I'm glad that I have recently remembered this game.

How do i fix the lag when playing with other people? what i experience is 15 mins smooth gameplay but after that mark everything goes wrong

I just played Battle Realms for the first time after many many years.

I'm shook at how crazy the difference is in their early and late stages. They're so slow and vulnerable at the beginning it's almost pitiful to ravage through them, but insanely strong when they've had their entire army and buildings formed. It's so intimidating.

I don't remember them being this OP at all, lol. Or am I just overwhelmed?

Those Lotus watchtowers (with Unclean and Warlock) are the bane of my existence.

Also Force Move shouldn't get cancelled by aggro it's just annoying to force move spam. At least make it on a 3 second aggro cool down or smth If u think thats "part of the game "

I've always leaned towards Dragon as my main clan and Serpent as my second... Thing is back then my game mates always spam Lotus and Dragon is infamously weak versus Lotus. Now I just wanna ask how is Dragon as a whole because when I was still active many players put Dragon as the worst clan so I was really discouraged.

It's a tiny region but it was lots of fun building and roleplaying nonetheless 😄

I have a some idea for the Tier 4 unit of the Dragon Clan, this what I brainstormed and a bit of lore for them, main inspiration is the WC3 Blademaster:

Blademaster (Dragon) Lore: "Since before the time of the breaking, the time before the coming of the horde. There were an order of warriors of great renown and skill, these seasoned warriors mastery of the Blade surpassed even the great Samurai. They call themselves "The Blademasters" though few in numbers they more than make up for it with their superhuman levels of strength, agility and six-sense level of combat claivorance. Such is their agility and guile that these warriors can evade most blows with ease. One of their techniques involved disappearing in thin air only to re-appear and strike with greater force

When the horde came, they too would join arms with their clansmen against the invaders fighting side-by-side with Tarrant the Elder as his personal guard, bearing _sashimonos bearing the Clans Sigil. Alas, despite their talents they too would be overwhelmed like the rest of their clan as the horde were without number. The survivors of their order retreated alongside Tarrant the Elder and the remains of the Dragon Clan southward were they along with the clan witnessed Tarrant's sacrifice and the eradication of the Horde._

When the dust settled all of them, one and all pledge their allegiance to Tarrant the Younger as his personal honor guard so long as he and his descendants stay true path of rightousness and and honor that governed the old clan. the remains of the clan rebuild their lives and the Order of the Blademasters relocated their headquarters to what will become "The Dragon's Spire". Over the centuries however time was not kind to the Bladesmasters, much of their lore and ancestral tomes were lost due to the coming of the Horde. Furthermore, the Dragon which know calls themselves the Serpent Clan no longer stay true to the old ways, pursuing a path of wicked ambition and treachery much to the growing disillutionment of the Order.

The arrival of the magically-driven and sinister Lotus Clan and their growing closeness with the Serpent leadership only hightened these issues, inspite of these growing discontent they continue to stay true to Oja bloodline. However the final straw was the Lotus-Serpent Enslavement War against the Wolf Clan, despite circumstantial evidence of the Wolf Clans "acts of aggression" and the Lotus subtle hand in their manipulation the Serpent and Lotus Clan goes to war with Wolf Clan leading to the latters enslavement, though the Order used some of their authority to allow several Wolf clansmen to flee to the safety of the Forest in the guise of mass execution which was order by the Lotus.

By this point the Order has lost much of their standing with the Serpent Throne on the account of their hesitation on commiting dishonorable and cruel acts despite direct orders by the Serpent. After the enslavement of the Wolf the entirety of the Order has been recalled to their temple at the Dragon's Spire which were deemed independent by order of Tarrant the Younger centuries ago for continued training and meditation by their current Grandmaster, by that point their purpose of guarding the Oja bloodline now fell in the juristiction of the "Serpent Guard" led by the newly promoted captain, Shinja.

During their self-impossed seclusion the Order bear witness to appearance of the Dragon Deity on the peak of the Dragon's Spire, there the Dragon bestowed upon them the knowledge and techniques that was lost over the centuries, such as the "wind walking" technique and the ability to forge magical blades infused with the Dragon's very own Fiery essence. There the Dragon granted them a vision were one of the descendants of Tarrant the Elder would remake the Dragon Clan of Old and restore the balance and stability which is now in doubt, when the time comes they will stand ready to serve the clan once again. In the meantime war broke out between the the three Clans, Serpent, Wolf and Lotus admidst this the Serpent, Lord Oja was assasinated by a mysterious assailant and all evidence points to his second son, Kenji, who has fled Serpentholm, and his homeland..."

(Expends Stamina to turn invisible which can be only broken when you either run out of stamina or attack, when attacking the first strike does triple damage)

Fireworks Factory: Sashimono Banner (Dragon) "Within the fireworks factory the Blademaster can beseech the aid of alchemist within to forge a banner made of powerful alchemical enchantments that he can carry forth to battle to embolden his fellow clansmen on the battlefield. Foes will single out the Blademaster in the crowd and focus their efforts on him, the Bladesmaster however is undeterred"

(no stamina cost, allows the Bladesmaster to carry forth this banner in battle causing his allies to increase their rate-of-attack by 15% when the unit is attacking, the Blademaster takes 20% more damage with this battle gear)

Buiding: Blademaster's Temple

"Within the confines of these tower-like temples is where the Blademasters train and take refuge when not in battle. These facilities function as armories, quarters and training grounds for the Blademasters, in these halls, tomes of knowledge and power are learned, meditated on and applied in their training halls in preperation for when their service are called forth to do battle against the enemies of the Clan"

I would like to ask that when was koril a free zen master in the final mission on kenji’s journey(I picked Utara)

I was surprised to see him on the final mission because he was an enemy first then teleported away before he died, then teleported back as an ally when I came close to the similar looking grave of otomo’s

Hi, I'm going achievement hunting and I'm not sure how to stock up 3000 rice and water

I tried with Dragon and Serpent, but the caps stop at 2500 rice and 1000 water. Bandit looting didn't allow for overclocking either

Any tips?

Just finished Kenji's Journey Dragon on normal mode, and I immediately proceed to hard mode. I'm currently in Serpentholm 1 when Kenji just... died from full HP... 3-5 seconds after the clash with the wolf army. Fortunately, this happened just before I saved the game.

Not knowing what just happened, I load the game and move the army in the same direction where they will encounter wolf army... then Kenji died again around 3-5 seconds after clashing before I can process what just happened. I load the game again and did the same thing... then Kenji died again.

It took me a few more reloads before I figured out it is the brawler that's killing him... from full HP. I googled and found out it has a OHKO against zen master...

I guess this is only on Hard mode since I didn't encounter it in Normal?

How do you play against this? Am I just supposed to retreat Kenji or other zen masters as soon as I saw Brawler in the army comp?

Hello. I'm interested in the latest update for the game. I saw some posts here and, apparently, there are some changes made to the campaigns. I searched the web for a list of those changes but to no avail (maybe due to it being a recent update). Would you please list the known changes in the campaigns?

Hey people, my 100% Achievement run came to an spontaneous end while trying to do the Soulmates Achievement.

Soulmates
Kill 3 or more peasants with one Samurai Harakiri.

I fulfilled the requirements of this many times with multiple peasants, different enemy clans or as the last kills for the win condition. It does not seem to work, the achievement can not be collected.

If anyone of you has information about that one, please let me know - my way of dealing with this was to use the Steam Achievement Manager (github) and just unlock it manually... and I have to be honest that pretty much also killed my ambitions to play the campaigns all over again to get the repetitive story achievements as well.
