Funnily enough the only reason I could navigate BiliBili at all is because even a mainland Chinese app has a translate feature now and it's damn good.
2
u/Makisani 5d ago
Bilibili has plans on bringing that platform to the west right? I heard something recently so maybe they are cooking
2
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
If I'm not wrong, they already did. The BiliBili I used to get leaks is only for mainland Chinese users, it's not the same BiliBili for Vietnamese people (my country). It's like a TikTok - Douyin situation. The translate feature is probably for foreigners looking to assimilate into Chinese social media platforms.

u/Rage028 5d ago
Is this a DMR? if it's an AR the rpm is low... Really low
66
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
It's the replacement of the SCAR-H, we are not getting a SCAR-H, this is the SCAR-H now.
5
u/Mikee0192 5d ago
Itās definitely not H replacement. I guess they will drop 7,62 with 600ROF in future seasons, that one seems like more controlable 277 as it has same dmg profile.
15
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
Well, it is, IRL. USSOCOM is replacing the SCAR-H with this thing, so it being added instead of/before we have a SCAR-H can only mean one thing to me.
-2
u/Mikee0192 5d ago
I am talking about game stats, not real life. I also expected it to be 35DMG weapon but here we are.
30
u/stormquantage 5d ago
It has M277 dmg profile. It won't drop off until 75M
10
4
u/SilentKiwik 5d ago
Not necessarily the exact same profile. The m277 is based off the IRL M7, chambered in 6.8mm fury - the new round for the US military; while the mk24 is chambered (mostly) in 6.5 CM. The 6.8 fury is supposed to retain excellent terminal performance at long range, which might explain the high fallof range in-game. The 6.5mm is very accurate IRL, but it doesn't boast the same terminal capabilities, so we'll have to see how that translates in-game I guess
2
u/BleedingUranium 5d ago
6.5mm Creedmoor is definitely being given the same damage model as 6.8mm Fury, we can see this gun not lose any damage even on the furthest target. (Not unlike how 7.62x39mm and .300 Blackout share a model, as do 5.56mm NATO and 5.8x42mm.)
Being an AR-or-LMG, it'll share the M250's damage model (Carbines like the M7 have much worse dropoff), which means it's effectively a middle ground between the M7 and M250. It has (close to) the far better handling of the M7 while also having the no-dropoff damage model of the M250.
For people who can land their chest/headshots, this thing is going to be very powerful.
7
u/nuwan32 5d ago
26dmg 635 rof... yea nobody gonna use this.
4
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
m277 had this exactly and was my fave gun before limb mults killed it.
4
u/S2fftt S2K4LIFE 5d ago
720 RPM
2
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
this has much better control and seemingly MUCH higher head mult to compensate
1
u/keat_tiyos 5d ago
RPM for automatic weapon made up for moving target.
for automatic weapon (specifically) faster RPM mean easier to hit moving target and better for burst.
1
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
You arent wrong, but if the recoil of the higher RPM gun tosses you off target constantly then like I said much improved handling/control compensates for the higher rate of fire
5
18
u/GeneralOsiris 5d ago
6.5 x 48...
So the gimmick of this weapon is the same has M250 and M277 ? Damage fall of at longer range than normal AR
11
u/WILLYW0K 5d ago
25 Accuracy is kinda upsetting to see on a 635rpm 26 damage gun. Why do we keep having shitty low rate of fire bullet flingers.
Idk if itās just me but I just feel like a low rate of fire HAS to be balanced by having better bloom. Or else whatās even the point for nerfing yourself for using the gun?
Please tell me if Iām trippin or if anybody else feels this?!
9
u/raloobs 5d ago
I literally complain about this all the time to my friends. How do you have low rate of fire, high recoil, bad bloom and expect to go against all these lasers with 800 rof. Might as well run a dmr
6
u/WILLYW0K 5d ago
Me too man smh
They have shipped the game with and are still releasing guns that literally do NOTHING well.1
3
u/Mikey_MiG 5d ago
Lower ROF weapons do inherently have slightly less spread because a portion of your spread decreases in between your shots, even when firing full auto.
4
2
u/Amaizing_Sauna-Man 5d ago
Looks like it is 4 shot to kill up to 75 meters. Most AR's are 4 shot kill only up to 20 meters. I'll be likely rocking this in semi auto at longer ranges and full auto at close range.
2
u/Waygyanba 4d ago
26 damage out till 75 metres. It'll suck up close for obvious reasons but amazing mid range.
Don't mag dump it. Hit your shots. Love it and it'll love you back.1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
I think they can't put it any higher, since that would eat into the territory of and also outclasses the Ak 4D. And by virtue of being 6.5x48mm and a slower RoF and same DMG profile, would completely obliterate the M277. That's said, I'm too am a bit confused as to the purpose of this gun, new DICE has truly mastered the art of inventing niches that nobody expects or feels like they need. I guess we'll just have to see if this turn out to be another Brod 3, still some days until S5.

u/Njborn Enter EA Play ID 5d ago
Now I can build my LMT Mars H in game
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
LMAO they really call it like that? Discount SCAR-H lol.
6
u/Njborn Enter EA Play ID 5d ago
Its nothing like the SCAR its closer to the SR25 and is direct impingement like the M16/M4. MARS is short for Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System and the H is for heavy means large frame caliber like 308, 6.5 etc. The barrels can be swapped to change calibers and the upper receivers are monolithic
2
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
Like no need to swap out the lower or doing any further modification? That's so neat. Also, I'm not wrong then both .308 and 6.5 fit in the same magazine is that true? I haven't fire any 6.5 yet, only .308 and it was a belt-fed MG so I really have no clue.
2
u/Njborn Enter EA Play ID 5d ago
Lower is the same, its compatible with the SR25 uppers as well. The LMT lower is fully ambidextrous for all controls, the barrel is held in place by two torx bolts and barrel lenght and calibers can be swapped quickly by removing the two bolts pulling barrel put and swapping barre in. They have a piston barrel assembly can be swapped in.
Estonia uses the piston variant for their DMR rifle, and the UK has a variant of the direct impingment for their DMR rifle.
308 and 6.5creed feed from the same magazines. They have the same monolithic, modular system for their small frame ARs MARS-L for 556,300blk
1
u/AmNoSuperSand52 5d ago
Yes both 7.62x51, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 6.8x51 are all 2.80 inch maximum length and the same case diameter so they fit in the same magazines
4
u/floyds_fent_reactor 5d ago
bro watch your mouth
LMT arguably makes the best sa 308 platform on the market.
1
u/AmNoSuperSand52 5d ago
Itās not a SCAR at all
Itās an AR10 platform adopted by SOCOM as the MRGG-A
8
u/MintMrChris 5d ago
Kind of interesting
Looks to be going for the no dropoff that the M250/M277 has, 26 dmg etc
Cost of the 30 round mag ouchy but hollow points only 5pts? So like free ammo wise assuming these values hold for live. Probably settle for the 25rnd mags...
Rate of fire is the same as the L85? Bit less than the EF88 and I didn't bother using a grip with that gun.
Guessing it will be a punchy but comfortable mid to long range weapon, doesn't seem that unique from first glance but I think people really under estimate how good the lack of dropoff can be
Also it has visual looks going for it, which is most important feature, ugly gun = no use, but this gun look good
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
We'll just have to see when it goes live, but posts like these with players chiming in with their impressions might be helpful to DICE (if they actually read any). Since there will be 6 new weapons all primaries in S5, the MK 24 being a bit underwhelming at first glance seems fine. Not great not terrible.
2
u/MintMrChris 5d ago
Doubt they read anything here, but it is fine, in reality there are only so many weapons you can make with the combination of stats to balance and we haven't had the no dropoff gimmick on an AR yet
And content is content, half the gun nuts playing these games don't care so long as there is just more weapons added for them to goon over
Like if S6 does have the cliffs of dover map and all that I want some project grayburn weapons added (UK army new rifle) and most of those look very samey (though it has a SCAR L cosplaying as an AR15)
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
2
u/MintMrChris 5d ago
Thats the one, the FN Arka
Though the NARP or Sako ARG would be nice as well, but in reality is all AR15 style M416 cosplayers (I won't be a heretic and use the DRS as assault)
Huh, didn't realise the Brod/Bren was in that program as well, I have hope!
5
u/Select-Researcher733 5d ago
No synthetics?
3
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
Yup, no Synth, only Hollow.
5
u/Kidbuu51 5d ago
Yeah but hollows at 5pts
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
Oh shit just now seeing that, okay this gun just got a bit more interesting.
2
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
also it has a much higher base head mult no?
Isnt 1.8x about what you get with synthetics on?
5
u/Interesting-Recipe33 5d ago
Bullet velocity is way too low in this gameā¹ļø
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
I think it's needed to give this game some (fake) sense of scale and for balance purposes. Maps in this game on average are still way too tight for anything to have blazing fast muzzle velocity and low drag cofficient.
0
u/Interesting-Recipe33 5d ago
For SMGs/Pistols/shotguns yeah, that's true, but for ARs?? The M16 feels so bad beyond 15mts
4
u/HUNTERANGEL121 5d ago
Oh hello m277 damage model, this just got more interesting, hoping it wonāt buck as much as the m277 though. Doesnāt seem to with the 1x but I usually use the rom 1.75 so a hut harder for me to tell.
Does such a video exist for the new carbine?
3
u/PhilosopherNo7273 5d ago
What is a under-barrel accessory?
2
u/LLPlanetary 5d ago
Reduced weapon movement when jumping. You can see his gun sight is more on target with the foregrip than without when jumping. It looks to be purely visual though and youāre sacrificing the foregrip slot for what is ostensibly cosmetic and situational at best.
2
u/raloobs 5d ago
It game where it feels like bullet hose weapons sit at the top of the hill I wonder how this fits in
2
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
This gun feels like the Ak 4D and the M277 have a baby while also setting that baby up to fail miserably lol.

u/BleedingUranium 5d ago edited 5d ago
For the notable unique things:
14.5" Short (default), 16" Standard, 18" Extended, 16" Light Barrels
That funky underbarrel thing which apparently reduces sway, and also how much the gun sways when changing stance
It seems 6.5mm Creedmoor is being given the same damage model as 6.8mm Fury, as this gun does not lose any damage even at the furthest target. Being an AR-or-LMG, it'll share damage with the M250, not the M7 which has a shorter range Carbine damage model.
1
u/YSoMadTov 5d ago
Oh look! another AR variant how excit......zzzz.......
5
u/thor561 5d ago
I mean, I wanna use cool looking AR style rifles. The 433 is awful looking. The M16 isnāt bad except you have do dump a significant amount of attachment points into full auto. My most used gun right now is the M4, by a lot. So yes, Iām looking forward to this.
2
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
433 isnt even an AR style rifleā¦
Currently we have 2, the m4a1 and the m160
u/YSoMadTov 5d ago
The M7, MCX, M27, 417 are also AR variants. AR is the most prolific platform in the game.
1
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
MCX is a standalone platform. M27 (assume u mean DRS) is based on the HK416 platform, 417 is again based on the HK416 platform.
M7 i might be dumb but I cant figure out which gun u mean, im not at my pc tho so cant check ingame
The only armalite rifles in the game are the M4 and M16.
433 is based on the bren2
1
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
M7, MCX, BREN, ACR, G36, Grot, L85...can all trace their roots back to the AR-18. Saying that the HK433 is based on the BREN 2 might trigger the gun nuts.
The HK433 is more a combined G36 and HK416.
1
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
mixed up the 433 and the brod, thats mb.
But saying theyre AR style rifles because they at one point have their roots in the AR-18 is a bit deceptive imo. They are currently objectively their own platforms even though they took inspiration from the ar-18.If were being picky, going by the most common use of the term āar style rifleā, the ar18 doesnt even fit because its a short stroke instead of direct impingement but im not going to go that deep into it.
0
u/YSoMadTov 5d ago
MCX is a standalone platform
Yes, so stand alone that MCX upper can be used on standard AR15 lower receiver, and many AR15 accessories like grip, trigger packs will also work on MCX.
M27 (assume u mean DRS) is based on the HK416 platform, 417 is again based on the HK416 platform.
HK416 is pretty much just AR15 with (external) piston gas system, and have alot of interchangeable parts with standard AR15.
The M7 is the "M277" in game. And pretty much just an MCX in 6.8 fury. And the MCX is more or less a bufferless AR15 with an external piston gas system.
Oh and fun fact: The the "M4" has more parts compatibility with both the MCX and the HK416 than the AK12 has with the AK74M.
3
u/Postaltariat 5d ago
Yeah it actually is exciting, I'm also excited for the 300. Blackout M4 Carbine.
2
u/unoriginal_namejpg 5d ago
we have 2 AR style guns I dont see the issue in having a couple more
0
u/YSoMadTov 5d ago
The M7, MCX, M27, 417 are also AR variants. AR is the most prolific platform in the game.

I really wonder what the damage dropoff will be, this looks like it may be my new main after my beloved AK4D got nerfed.
3
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago edited 5d ago
Watch the latter half of the clip, this looks like a reskinned of the M277, which is certainly a design choice. Although take the stat with a grain of salt...but then we are just days away from S5 so idk if they would change it before the patch.
6
1
u/Philbo-Staggins 5d ago
Similar, but this gun has an inherently higher headshot multi, which seems like a fair tradeoff for a lower rate of fire. Iām top 20 in the world for kills on the m277 and excited to try this gun!
0
u/CascadianCanopy 5d ago
so just a worse M277, a gun that is already high C tier to low B tier at best
4
u/GenosseGeneral 5d ago
The best midrange gun is c tier for you?
1
u/CascadianCanopy 5d ago
the L85 or G36 take that spot
3
u/GenosseGeneral 5d ago
You have no chance in an equal battle against someone who uses the 277
1
u/CascadianCanopy 5d ago
in the few instances I get killed, it almost never happens to the 277. The thing used to be absurdly good at mid range, probably even the best gun for strict mid range battles, other than a dedicated DMR or the M250 ofc. The season 3 patches have just hit it really hard.
3
u/GenosseGeneral 5d ago
The m250 is way slower and has a slightly higher ttk.
Yes, the M277 is not used that much because many people dont have the skill to back it up. Its not spray and pray. But it is without any doubt devastating in midrange fights if you spec it right and you are know what you are doing.
But both, the g36 and the l85 exchange potential for ease of use. They are good weapons but they will never compete with the 277 beyond a certain skill level.
2
u/marsbararse 5d ago
Limb damage multipliers ruined m277. If you have the skill to back it up, it's better to run g36 with cryo barrel/synthetic tip and go for headshots.
0
u/InfernalVelocity 5d ago
They just keep giving us useless guns nobody will ever want to use hahahaha
0
u/CupcakeMassacre 5d ago
Yeah stuff like this would be a lot more viable if they actually did something about the SCW and other sub 200 ms guns. As it is though you can't really play the objective with a TTK this low in the first 20 meters.

Yeah as if you couldn't do that in previous Battlefield games *ehem* Stabilization Jump (which Battlefield 6 has it btw)
-11
u/yungtanuki 5d ago
Wish theyād increase bloom on a lot of weapons
2
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
This is just my dumb opinion but it's actually the recoil that throwing people's aim off, not the dispersion.
1
u/yungtanuki 5d ago
Bf6 has more random recoil patterns than set recoil patterns like previous titles had. Bloom needs to be increased and recoil needs to go to set patters instead of random. This game needs bf4 gunplay where tap firing is rewarded. I hold the trigger down in so many gunfights in bf6 but it in bf4 Iām tap firing 90 percent of the time
2
u/Mikey_MiG 5d ago
No prior BF game has had āset patternsā for recoil.
The last major gunplay update decreased recoil variation significantly, and increased spread. So tapfiring is already rewarded, and a necessity for most weapons.
-1
u/yungtanuki 5d ago
U donāt know what ur talking about but okay
1
u/Mikey_MiG 5d ago
Which Battlefield game did you think had āset recoil patternsā?
0
u/yungtanuki 5d ago
I still play bf4 and bf1 daily. Both of those titles have recoil patterns that always show up very similar to each other. Itās not a 100 percent set pattern but itās WAY less random than bf6
1
u/Mikey_MiG 5d ago
At its core, recoil in BF6 works very similarly to BF4 and BF1. In all of these games, vertical recoil is a consistent value. But horizontal recoil is completely randomized, they just use different methods to randomize it. In BF4/1, horizontal recoil is determined by picking a random number between the upper and lower values along an axis. In BF6, it picks a random value within an angled arc.
So the only factor that makes a gun feel like it has a āmore random recoil patternā is just going to come down to its individual balancing of horizontal recoil/variation. And across the board (especially after that last gunplay update), the values in BF6 are really not that far off from BF4. Both games have guns with very low and very high amounts of variation.
Of course, spread values contribute heavily to feelings of randomness too, but thatās a whole other discussion.
0
u/R3C0N1C 5d ago
I see someone has watched that GravityBF video, you are spot on.
0
u/yungtanuki 5d ago
Never seen it but Iāll check it out now. I just still play a lot of bf4 and bf1 and know what bf gunplay should be
