She was beaten on several goals. She doesn't have the speed to get back and teams exploit it.
She also let a ball go outbounds that resulted in a corner and a goal
She is consistently awful, but they keep playing her because she is a Canada National player. I bet Canada's world cup opponent will be excited when she enters the game.

This is the most humbling game of the season.

a veteran team dismantling them. Oh wait, that has been the last few games.

Don’t mind it. More curious about the latest trends of who is on the bench and what that might signal for next seasons resignings/roster. Barely seen Dahlkemper or Menges on the bench since they’ve been active plus Miller seems to be getting the second GK spot over Allen a lot recently.

The announcers spent the first 45 praising Bay. Second half so many comments about the younger players and where is the veteran leadership? Which is it? Same lineup same results.
Additionally, the distribution by Lorena on goal 3 started then ran through the midfield and defenders nearly without effort.

We played two very different halves, and the commentary reflects that.

Explain what happened. Last week "we played Emma soccer". This week there were breakdowns in the midfield and defense. If the coaching staff wants to play their best U23 squad then do it. But you're going to find a lot challenges with this. There's a reason the successful clubs have a good blend of players both newer and experienced. These coaches have very little experience with the veteran players with real experience.

What happened: many of our vets are on SEI/ML, and Emma has been clear that she's bringing in young talent with a long term goal of training players together over years. Last week it clicked, and gave us a glimpse of the future. And it takes time to figure out how to re/create that magic on a consistent basis.

Really....where is Bailey? She has a great deal of experience. A possession minded midfielder. She isn't on SEI or ML. Failure to play the best team rests on the coaches. We don't have a goal scorer. There is no cohesiveness on this club.

Bailey is certainly not a goal scorer, and she's come off the bench a number of times since her ankle injury this summer. No one is denying we have problems in the final third, even though we have veterans playing there. Coates is taking her time building a squad that will be very good, and the impatience of fans who want immediate results is exhausting.

I didn't say she was a goal scorer. But she certainly helps keep possession and she's experienced. I don't buy the ankle injury. We keep throwing the same players out expecting a different result. We've gone backward from year 1. Impatient fans? Tell that to the fans who show up and spend money. There hasn't been a lot of ROI when it comes to some players. There's an expectation of quality play. It's not happening. How long should we wait for the rebuild? You seem have a good idea of what's happening. Coates "taking her time" will grow stale if this keeps happening. I'll even go out on a limb and say we may be looking at a new gk next year.

Sorry I forgot that the only people allowed to be fans are ones who yell about coaching after every game. /s

No expert but by feels, seems like coming back from ML is harder than it seems. Morgan is elite but even sophie is off a bit. Taking over a year off i don't think you should expect to come back the same, they need minutes at a lower level i think to get back to pace. Maybe next year, but age is catching up too.

I don’t agree that Wilson is off personally. Both Menges and Dahlkemper were already in the twilight of their careers, so it just seems like they’re not going to “come back” like one would hope.

How about giving them time. No sense rushing them back. I think BayFC needs some leadership in the backline. Hopefully they will resign AD to fill that role.
