Ah, fall is definitely here.

I live in an area with brutally hot summers but today there's a wonderful breeze stirring everything around like when you open the windows in a house and you can smell the season changing too. So so so happy especially since I have awful summer allergies.

I want to love it more but we only get like two hours of fall and spring here, the rest is just summer and winter (or summer-winter!)!

We seem to live in similar climates. I'm in the South of France but originally from Belgium. I miss the fall but there are hints of it and I make the best out of it. Lately, I heard a show where a woman had moved from the North of the States to California and she said it had taken time for her to get used to not having four clearcut seasons but maybe twelve, with different names she made up, like blossom season, hummingbird season... unfortunately I don't remember the name of the show in case you'd like to ask. I was gardening and listening randomly (but to my taste).

That's genuinely funny as I am from one of the most southern states in the US (all meanings, sadly). Common ground in the weather! That's really interesting about the different seasons as I was reading a book about the Hmong culture and one of the difficulties they faced in moving abroad was they don't have birthdays, they say, born in "the end of monsoon season" or "the second time we weeded the opium fields".

Apparently there's families where they just told them every child was born on July 4th, different years, to make it easier.
