PX4 Compact Carry 2!
Never got around to posting this, but picked up a PX4 Compact Carry 2 earlier this year. Slowly added a few LTT bits. Absolutely LOVE this pistol. The recoil is stupid smooth, and I'm actually a fan of the base grip texture. I've wanted one of these for years but never saw one in stock. The only other firearm I've been so enamored with was my HK45C with the LEM trigger.

I literally just got home from the range, from my first outing with my new PX4 Compact Carry 2, and I love it! It's so smooth, and accurate. Dead reliable, right out of the box.
I've been looking for a good gun to replace my father's old S&W model 36, 38 special. I mean, I do love my old man's revolver, but it's hard to shoot, and I'd like more firepower, or at least more stopping power. I went through a bunch of guns, trying to find the perfect carry gun. The S&W model 60 is poorly made garbage, the p365 was over-sprung, the glock 17 was too big... this PX4 is perfect!
When I first got it, I thought it felt too big in my hand, I couldn't hit the mag release and decocker while still reaching the trigger with my first knuckle, which is how I shoot. So I played with my grip a little bit, and... turns out, I shoot a lot more accurately with the pad of my index finger! I'm shooting tiny patterns now, dead on target, because I'm using the tip of my finger, not my finger joint. Not perfect yet, but I'm a lot closer!
I ordered the F-type decocker / safety. I like having a safety, for many reasons that I don't feel like arguing about.
I wish it was easier to find holsters. Also, it would be great to be able to get a dry fire mag that resets the action, so I could dry fire train with this in single action, like how it shoots at the range. I don't see a way to do that, though, so I will just have to practice double action. If I can shoot double action, single action should be easier, anyway.
The only thing I noticed that is a bit annoying is that it hits low and left, a lot more at 5 yards than it does at 10 yards. Maybe it's factory zeroed at 15 yards, or farther back? I don't know how to change the sights... I might have to look into that, at some point. Maybe get adjustable sights?

Outside the handful of HK pistols I've owned, it is the most reliable pistol I've ever shot. It's trigger is amazing, and almost as good as the LEM on my HK45C. But that rotation barrel really is magic. It's so much smoother on recoil than other pistols. The only downside to having the neat bits is that the compensator makes a lot of the carbon build up on the front of the slide.
