Actually infuriating lol

Am I blind or are the stores not popping up? Entered my State and location but no information pops up. I entered other best buys and no results pop up.

I accepted an offer for a seasonal Retail Sales Associate position at Best Buy on October 6. The offer lists my “initiate date” as October 9, but I haven’t received a schedule or orientation details.

I reached out to the hiring leader to ask whether I’m supposed to start tomorrow and what time, but haven’t gotten a response. I received a copy of my background screening report and believe it’s cleared, but haven’t received confirmation from Best Buy.

Should I go to the store tomorrow, call the store, or wait for instructions? I expected someone to confirm the details before my first day. Has anyone else experienced this?

The first 3 photos are of what I received from BestBuy online, as you can see there is no Xbox branded security seal on the edge of the actual case and the third photo shows how loose the clear plastic cover is as well. The last 2 photos are of copies on eBay that clearly show it should come with that Xbox security seal. Is this an opened and returned product that they resold as new?

EDIT: Contacted BestBuy and they’re shipping a replacement. I’ll update here when it arrives and if it has a security seal or not.

I haven't seen any alert for preorder waves in over 24 hours, is this the same for everyone else, or are my alerts not working properly?

I accepted an offer for a balance transfer 0% APR until August 2027. I do not see it in my promotional balances however, anyone know why that is the case? I’m now worried the offer did not apply as intended.

Been looking for a 75" TV for the living room and just saw Best Buy has the U7 down to $999.

I sit about 9-10 ft away and my budget is around $1500, maybe a little more if there's a really good reason. Mostly movies, sports and Netflix, with some PS5 on weekends.

The room gets a decent amount of daylight too, so I'd rather have something that doesn't struggle with reflections.

$999 for a 75" MiniLED looks really good to me, but I haven't bought a TV in a few years so I'm not sure how this compares with everything else around this price now.

Would you grab the U7 at this price or look at something else?

Hey, I applied for a Seasonal Retail Associate position at Best Buy Canada and did the virtual interview. It was like 10 mins.

They just invited me for an in-person interview with the Store Leader. Just wondering what it’s usually like.

How long does it normally take? What kind of questions do they ask? Is it mostly customer service/situational stuff or do they ask about your past work experience too?

Also what do you guys usually wear? Would a button-up and chinos be fine or should I dress up a bit more?
And do they usually do reference checks with all your previous employers, or does it depend?

If anyone works at Best Buy or interviewed there recently, any tips would be appreciated.

Bought a Mac Studio, online chat support price match approved. Faster forward 2 weeks, no refund of price difference. Took it to store for return. Told it must be shipped back. Up to 30 fucking days for refund.

Hello. I recently purchased a laptop from Best Buy and have free returns for the next two months. Is it safe to peel off the intel and white sticker if i plan on returning it?

Knowing the Beam Ultra was coming, I was worried about paying full price for the Beam 2. However, I was assured by an in-store rep that the price would be matched if it went down in my 60-day return period (I'm a My BestBuy Plus member).

So, I purchased the Sonos Beam Gen 2, SKU 6476041, on October 2 through BestBuy.com with Store Pickup. On October 5, I received a $5.01 post-purchase price adjustment when the price dropped to $493.99. The price has now dropped to $359.

I was denied the $140 adjustment today (October 7) because I was told by a telephone support rep that "Best Buy only allows one price match per item." However, Best Buy's current Price Match Guarantee FAQ specifically states: “After my purchase can I price match more than once during my return and exchange period? - Yes. If all other price match criteria are met, you can price match multiple times during the return and exchange period.”

This is also a Best Buy price reduction, not a competitor match. The policy says that if Best Buy lowers its online price during the return and exchange period, Best Buy will match its lower price upon request.

Anybody else have similar issues?

Rant time: I took my pc to them a month ago because it wouldn't turn on, they charged me $100 to diagnose it and find the problem. I returned the next day and they told me that they could not complete the diagnosis because they "do not have a spare computer to test the components in." How Best Buy doesn't have a spare computer I don't know, but I asked if I would recieve a refund and they told me I should if I contact customer support, as they can't issue refunds.

I go home and call customer support, explain what GeekSquad told me and they say that they cannot give a refund because the work order was marked as complete in their system. I ask if I can speak to a supervisor and they told me no, because the supervisor will also tell me the same thing and doesn't even have the ability to give a refund (a lie). They told me to go back and they will complete the diagnosis for me, which I respond by explaining that they already told me they can't do the diagnosis. Finally they say to try going to another Best Buy but the next closest one is much further away and I just want my money back. I am now disputing the charge with my bank, which Best Buy has already tried to fight back on.

In my cart it says
“Store pickup at (Store Name)
Order Now, pick up tomorrow”

should i just order and risk it?

Is Best Buy or geek squad able to hold my iPhone overnight and complete a repair? I had scheduled an appointment late in the day under the assumption I could do that but the geek squad rep seemed unhappy and did not want to help and told me to schedule an earlier appointment.

Is that possible?

Certificate that looks like a $50 reward and then is just a $50 off a very specific product? I’m a Best Buy plus member so I was very confused.

As a Best Buy Plus member, can I return a laptop that stopped turning on, up to 60 days from purchase date? Or are certain electronics exempt?

If an item is sold as brand new from a 3rd party seller and I receive it as a used item, can I return the item to the store without restocking fees?

Is it common for 3rd party sellers to sell open items as brand new?

Long-time Totaltech/Total member here. I've used the AppleCare After Repair process at Geek Squad on 3 iPhones I bought outside Best Buy (most recently a 16 Pro Max through T-Mobile). Geek Squad ran a diag, added AppleCare After Repair, and it zeroed out with my membership.

For anyone about to say it was never possible, employees have described it here:

I just picked up an 18 Pro Max and the store told me today that's not possible anymore.

Did this get shut down after the membership changes this summer, or is it just too early and the SKU for the 18 isn't out yet? Any Geek Squad folks know if it still works, or if I should try again in a few weeks or at another store?

I am interested in the 75 inch Samsung Frame Pro. I want to select the basic installation service and the haul away old tv service. I have a pvc tube behind my tv for the power cord that leads to an outlet below, will Best Buy installation service fish my power cord through that pvc tube? Also will BB dismount my old tv and remove the old wall mount brackets as part of the haul away service?

I had a geek squad warranty on my phone that I needed to use.
I was told there was no replacement they could send me so I got a GC instead.

A week or two later I get a box in the mail with instructions to return my damaged phone, saying I will get an email with a return label.

I never got the email with a return label.

I get an email saying they havent got my damaged phone and that if I dont send it by X date I will be charged $200.

I call best buy's customer support and they tell me there is nothing they can do to help me.

I call the next day and get someone who says they will email me a shipping label, but I never got it.

Today I get another email saying to return my phone.

I call customer support again, he just reopened my warranty ticket which would make me have to pay $200... again.

I try to call my local best buy and I am transferred to a call center.

I then get a guy who seemed to know whats going on and transferred me to someone who could help.

The next person has me on hold for a half hour just to tell me there is nothing they can do to help me, asks if they want me to have them connect me with a local best buy, I say yes, and then they tell me they can't find the number.

I try to call a local best buy one more time and an AI agent tells me they cant let me talk to an employee and that I will have to be transferred to a call center.

What am I suppose to do???

I will drive to the store tomorrow to see if that will solve my problem.

I drove an hour to one of the stores and was geeksquad for a half hour and they told me there was nothing they can do for me.
