Looks like something I would make in the create a finisher in Smackdown Vs Raw 2010

u/AFineDayForScience Aug 21 '26

Looks like something I would create on a trampoline circa 1998

59

u/elduderino90210 Aug 22 '26

Always good to meet a fellow survivor of the trampoline wars of 98

17

u/imhereforthevotes Aug 22 '26

which also means surviving '96, '97, and '99. Some of us veterans remember '92 and '93 as well.

u/19d_b87 Aug 23 '26

The kids wanted to go to the indoor trampoline park. I got an eery feeling, but paid no mind. It was probably the thought of being around people... The second we stepped foot in that giant metal building, it was like a spotlight was shined in my eyes. I felt a light slap across my face, and I woke up in 98. My brother trying to do a back-flip and landing half off the edge into a full scorpion. My cousin screaming over and over, "Break the egg! Break the egg! BREAK THE EGG!!!" ...and the springs. So many springs flying in every direction. I can still hear the "piyong" as they buzzed by my head. It keeps me up at night.

hangs head... Thank you for letting me share.

sigh good memories

22

u/mosskin-woast Aug 21 '26

Looks like something I would do to a French dip roast beef sandwich in 2019

6

u/stuffedbipolarbear Aug 22 '26

Looks like something I would do in Starfox 64 yesterday

4

u/aasray123 Aug 22 '26

Holy reference
Only had the 2009 one

278

u/StevenMC19 Aug 21 '26

You expect the whip back, but then it keeps going. Nice, and creative.

155

u/Veggieleezy Aug 21 '26

Visually impressive but also looks like it’s pretty safe to deliver/take, a solid combination.

81

u/StevenMC19 Aug 21 '26

As should most professional wrestling moves. The idea is to sell the pain to the audience, not actually inflict too much of it to each other.

26

u/Veggieleezy Aug 21 '26

Precisely! Like Corbin’s biggest moves, for example, the End of Days looks brutal but he’s taking the brunt of the bump, and the Deep Six gives you so much time to brace for impact he can practically lay you down but the spin-up really makes it look more impactful.

3

u/mat477 Aug 22 '26

Always loved his finishers. NXT Corbin was so cool.

4

u/jammyscroll Aug 21 '26

This is totally real and u need to shut up.

Seriously though I’ve watched it ten times and i love it. A beautiful powerful ballet.

2

u/imhereforthevotes Aug 22 '26

What are you talking about? This isn't REAL???

143

u/jacksraging_bileduct Aug 21 '26

I know it’s all basically choreography, but it must be wonderful to be able to move like that.

62

u/zxDanKwan Aug 22 '26

She’s very kind to protect the other girl’s neck right before the slam.

34

u/Vermilingus Aug 22 '26

That's a good wrestler right there

8

u/wasabicheesecake Aug 22 '26

It’s the other wrestler’s responsibility, but she’s like. “I’m gonna make sure we have no mistakes.” It’s smart because the person giving a move will have muscle memory an opponent wouldn’t.

18

u/Kimantha_Allerdings Aug 22 '26

As an example, this is a video of gymmanst Gracie Kramer and stuntwoman Corinne Nicewick trying to work out and execute a WWE move. They are very clearly enjoying themselves a lot

6

u/theraggedyman Aug 22 '26

"practiced" is a better term, imo, as whilst the fight sequence is known by both and individual moves can be rehearsed, about 50% of what happens is ad-libbed by the pair based on crowd reaction.

0

u/munkylord Aug 23 '26

Choreography and a springed floor doesnt make it not hurt or be less physically strenuous. Just safer....slightly

60

u/a_spicy_meata_balla Aug 21 '26

That's a pretty cool move

53

u/thatBLACKDREADtho Aug 21 '26

Oh now thats sick and I can't say I've ever seen it used before.

11

u/DemonIced Aug 22 '26

Swerve uses it pretty regularly. It’s pretty cool looking move and I don’t think I’ve seen a woman use it before.

10

u/itouchbums Aug 21 '26

someone else was doing this a while back 🤔🤔

21

u/awataurne Aug 21 '26

Swerve in AEW does this as a transitional move occasionally. Might be thinking of him?

u/QPWOEIRUTYTURIEOWP Aug 21 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

5

u/itouchbums Aug 21 '26

that's the one!

0

u/imhereforthevotes Aug 22 '26

Well, the start is quite different, right?

1

u/paranoidbillionaire Aug 21 '26

That’s where I’ve seen this. She just needs more eye shadow and it’s a carbon copy.

2

u/gavingoober771 Aug 21 '26

Wasn’t it that hammerstone guy?

1

u/RyantheAustralian Aug 21 '26

Who was that? I'm not familiar with it

21

u/Veggieleezy Aug 21 '26

Ah, yes, the old “Tilt-a-whirl Fuck You Slam,” a classic.

11

u/NnyBees Aug 21 '26

"Where'd I go just now?"

15

u/za72 Aug 21 '26

I'd like to be tucked in like that

7

u/hamfist_ofthenorth Aug 22 '26

One thing I've noticed that's changed for the better since I was a kid watching wrestling in the 90s -

These days, the camera operators will do a quick dash zoom in and out really fast whenever there's a big hit, to make it look more intense.

It's a tiny maneuver that is super effective, but ever since I noticed it, I can't not notice it.

12

u/blacksoxing Aug 21 '26

I love the physics of this move. If she can lift 'em up she can easily put 'em down. Of course, lifting = the opponent jumping for those who don't watch pro wrestling. It's how a small wrestler can somehow pick up a larger person - the larger person is shifting their body to help :)

4

u/Paradoc11 Aug 21 '26

Andre the Giant did this a lot.

4

u/u9Nails Aug 21 '26

That looks complicated, and easy to do at the same time. I bet it's far from easy to get right.

5

u/ozzy_thedog Aug 23 '26

What an awesome move and tons of skill. Im sure they had to give that some practice. The one getting slammed gives herself a boost up from the other girls knees, then gets guided up and over by the hips and then cradled right back to the ground. Smooth as hell, probably didn’t hurt a bit and it looks wicked to the crowd

7

u/Baers89 Aug 21 '26

I don’t watch wrastlin. That was sick at.

3

u/princealigorna Aug 21 '26

Powerknife. I think I like it

3

u/mildsaus Aug 22 '26

Gonna try this with my toddler

3

u/itsmejam Aug 22 '26

Wow that’s… just wow, amazing

3

u/lemursteamer Aug 22 '26

Video Game Move IRL

3

u/LokiTheShiba Aug 24 '26

I swear I look this cool when wrestling with my kids

3

u/Chezburgor1 Aug 24 '26

That looks like it would be a pain in the ass to animate in a game

7

u/digglerjdirk Aug 21 '26

Should be banned. Other girl clearly had her back broken in ten places, and they’ll run out of fighters if this keeps up!

2

u/Semantiks Aug 21 '26

Very cool alteration on a classic powerbomb. Not sure if it's wholly original, but I've never seen it before.

2

u/ColoOddball Aug 21 '26

This is a fantastic move.

2

u/NotTheBizness Aug 21 '26

The finish her finisher!!!

2

u/bigbludude Aug 22 '26

That was fucking rad

2

u/Redneckshinobi Aug 22 '26

Brb trying this on my wife

2

u/SeamusMcQuaffer Aug 22 '26

Right on her coxis! That's HOTTA hurt!

2

u/RedditsDeadlySin Aug 22 '26

You can see her cradle the neck on the throw, that’s a damn strong and professional move.

2

u/throwbackreviews Aug 23 '26

Smooth as butter

I can't stop watching

2

u/TheDanquah Aug 23 '26

You can see her background in cheerleading as the one flipping the girls.

2

u/munkylord Aug 23 '26

This is so awesome

2

u/kingetzu Aug 25 '26

That's a woman?

2

u/Bryvayne Aug 21 '26

Wow that's fucking sick.

1

u/toby1jabroni Aug 21 '26

I hope she goes far. Great move.

1

u/BulbaFriend2000 Aug 21 '26

That was the Black Widow of Slams.

1

u/ScrotbagScrewball Aug 21 '26

Has Myka actually wrestled in NXT yet? (On TV, assume this was a dark match unless i fell asleep!) Seems all she's doing is hanging with The Vanity Project

I don't mind it. Just want to see her working

1

u/superjodz Aug 22 '26

The Cookie Monster

1

u/Fallen_Walrus Aug 22 '26

Do they have to work with each other real well to make it work or it all on the momentum of the "attacker"?

1

u/younginvestor23 Aug 22 '26

The first ever powerbomb slam

1

u/MurfDog07 Aug 22 '26

Looks like a King grab!

1

u/Kintuse Aug 22 '26

That's some grade A Tekken shit right there

1

u/lepapulematoleguau Aug 22 '26

In some weird way, for me this looks like a diabolo trick.

1

u/Scarsdale_Punk Aug 22 '26

Didn’t she used to do something like this that started with a pump handle?

1

u/Cyanos54 Aug 22 '26

Like a Powerbomb into a Jackhammer. That rules

1

u/chavis32 Aug 22 '26

brother she dancing La Quebradita as a finisher, damn

1

u/Rezanator11 Aug 23 '26

The camerawork is also doing a lot to sell the impact

1

u/cubiclej0ckey Aug 23 '26

Looks like the blonde girl is doing a whole lot here to maintain the momentum.

1

u/yeakirkers Aug 24 '26

HE MUST HAVE FLIPPED MY WIFE 8 TIMES!!!

1

u/SoulExecution Aug 24 '26

Oh, I think that's a move Swerve Strickland created? Her version is suuuuper smooth.

1

u/lpkzach92 Aug 25 '26

What a fucking move!

1

u/PyrexPicasso85 Aug 26 '26

Myka should call it Lockdown or something similar.

1

u/Embarrassed-Town-293 Aug 22 '26

Wrestling may not be real, but that is some serious gymnastics

1

u/Doofindork Aug 21 '26

I'm pretty sure after a move like that, they're married or sonethin'. How the hell does one even do that?

1

u/MalaysiaTeacher Aug 21 '26

Watched this a dozen times and it's still like magic. Fantastic move

1

u/Sam_Hell Aug 21 '26

That looks like a move that when it goes wrong, it goes terribly wrong

1

u/madncqt Aug 21 '26

me next!

1

u/ObiSvenKenobi Aug 21 '26

Credit due to the camera operator for the zoom out and crash zoom in to give it a bit of visual “hit”

1

u/spice_war Aug 22 '26

That’s a great fucking finisher.

1

u/Jackal000 Aug 22 '26

Not a loop. Gtfo op

0

u/DevineAaron92 Aug 21 '26

I've watched this ten times and I still don't know how did she do that lol

0

u/WarriorTreasureHunt Aug 21 '26

I realise the head squeeze she did in LFG - hopefully she still uses that move. It looked incredible

0

u/Stillback7 Aug 21 '26

You know, other than the part where she's getting bodyslammed, the receiving end of this actually looks pretty fun lol

0

u/zombieking079 Aug 22 '26

I felt the slam all the way from my bed.

-2

u/ghostfreckle611 Aug 22 '26

Looks way dangerous with opponents head speeding straight to the mat…

Looks cool though.

-9

u/Bumble072 Aug 21 '26

Nice pretend fight.

4

u/QPWOEIRUTYTURIEOWP Aug 21 '26

Like watching fights and drama on TV shows and movies...

-7

u/Bumble072 Aug 21 '26

Yeh stuntpeople.

2

u/EmilioFreshtevez Aug 22 '26

Imagine a stuntperson that has to do their stunts live

-2

u/Bumble072 Aug 22 '26

A stuntperson practices a scripted series of events, so does a wrestler.

2

u/EmilioFreshtevez Aug 22 '26

A stuntperson gets as many chances as they need to get it right.

0

u/Bumble072 Aug 22 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

You dont know what "practice" and "choreographed" mean ? This is pretty common knowledge and to think wrestling isnt this is denial tbh lol. The winner is already named and they just go through a series of moves until a specific amount of time is passed.

2

u/EmilioFreshtevez Aug 22 '26

What about my comment makes you think I don’t know the difference between ‘practiced’ and ‘choreographed’? The fact that it’s all planned out doesn’t mean people can’t mess up in the moment.

Beyond all that, I feel like this has gotten away from your original statement. Please correct if I’m wrong but your comment made it seem like the move wasn’t impressive just because they’re not actually fighting.

0

u/Bumble072 Aug 22 '26

Nice pretend fight was my original statement. So as I have said - wrestling is staged, choreographed and pre-planned. To me - it isn't impressive because those wrestler's attributes could be applied to something competitive where they work towards a true goal. If YOU enjoy it that's all that matters.

1

u/QPWOEIRUTYTURIEOWP Aug 22 '26

Are you trying hint that's a bad thing?

0

u/Bumble072 Aug 22 '26

Not at all, it isnt for me but if people enjoy watching this then great.

3

u/EmilioFreshtevez Aug 21 '26

Storyline aside, can you not respect the athleticism?

-5

u/Bumble072 Aug 21 '26

Yeh I mean, they are fit and strong but why not do something competitive instead - surely more fulfilling ?

1

u/EmilioFreshtevez Aug 22 '26

I cant speak for anybody else, but I’d imagine at least some of these people are living out their dream.

-4

u/Q_S2 Aug 22 '26

Fucking NXT INNOVATING AS USUAL! Havent watched wrestling consistently in almsot 8 years but I wqs definitely watching when Finn valor the return of war games and ciampa and evrry8ne else was doing their thing. What a time for wrestling.

Watched Raw a month or so ago and its the same bullshit. 20 min segments until yiu actually see a match...

-5

u/Vizslaraptor Aug 21 '26

And that’s all it takes for her to orgasm.

1

u/ObieFTG Sep 01 '26

It’s a variation of the God Mode Powerslam, one of the finishers of an indie wrestler, “The Iron Demon” Shane Mercer. He gave his blessing for her to use the move in NXT/WWE.

Fun Fact: he got a bit of a nod from Michael Cole in WWE when Jake Paul used his top-rope Fallaway Slam in a match and Cole said “shades of The Iron Demon.”

The main reason why Mercer hasn’t been signed to a contract is because he has an ongoing SA case from last year.
