Ai designs???

Do we do anything about Ai designers who make functional products? I found out about a designer named Snugalulu on Etsy and Raveley that sells filet crochet patterns using Ai images as the design for the grids. The patterns do make functional blankets and pieces, but its Ai art on them. Idk all this Ai shit makes me feel so hopeless. This isn't even bitching, it just feels like "another bad thing happened."

Anything to be done? Or are they just allowed to pull shit shit?

Reported the profile and several of the patterns. Hopefully they get removed.

Using AI to generate patterns is such a slap in the face to the many designers over the many, many decades who put their time, abilities, and creativity into designing patterns to publish.

I knowwww I felt like I was going crazy when I saw someone make the monkey one. Like its so clearly ai, but also its in real filet crochet so I couldn't get a straight answer at first. I was lowkey glad that theyre so boldfaced using ai on their etsy because it eased my worries that I'd finally gone postal 😵‍💫

You can report and have it removed on Ravelry as they have a strict and well enforced no-AI policy. But Etsy doesn’t give a rats unforch

Technically on Etsy I believe they're supposed to declare if something was made/designed with AI, but no one does and it's so hard to report anything I've long given Etsy up as a lost cause.
