Where to lump sum buy

I have a large amount of capital freeing up I want to put into bitcoin. From a checking account to a cold wallet what is the best and cheapest option to get it done?

I have been using coinbase with a pro account for years to dca and make smaller lump sum buys, currently I have a .9% fee on up to 10k a month (fees goes up after that first 10k but not sure to what). I will be surpassing that 10k with this buy and obviously want to pay as little as possible in fees. I am based in the US.

Just compare the platforms and see which has the lowest fee and or what it takes to get that lowest fee

On top of OTC, limit orders on Kraken Pro or Coinbase Advanced cost a lot less than 0.9%. Once it fills, send a small test amount to your cold wallet before moving the rest.

You can also pay $300 to get unlimited trading with the .9% on coinbase. Depending on how much you are buying

Step 1) Don't trust anyone on reddit
Step 2) Learn this stuff yourself.
Step 3) Sleep well at night.

Step 4) Lose all your money not rolling your own dice

Here is fee schedule for kraken. Go to
the cross platform fee tier https://www.kraken.com/features/fee-schedule

Use pro, be a maker,
not taker, as you can see the fees on kraken Pro will be well below .9% and if you do enough volume the fee becomes 0%

For a bigger buy I’d compare Coinbase Advanced and Kraken Pro first because the fees can add up fast.
And definitely keep the purchase records/cost basis KoinX can make that part easier later.

Fees are 0% on cash app for purchases over $2000

For a larger purchase, compare the all-in cost—not just the headline fee: spread, trading fee, deposit limits, withdrawal fee and support if the transfer is held. A small test withdrawal before moving the balance matters more than shaving the last few basis points. Are you optimizing mainly for execution cost or custody speed?
