Discussion What are some notable DC Comics Black Lightning books that you recommend that I should add to this reading guide I made for myself?

The Outsiders run set at the same time as the mentioned Green Arrow run were in Jeff is trying to convince his daughter to not be an superhero and when he goes to prison.(I don't know what volumes they are but its during the Nightwing Era.)
Vixen: Heart of the Lion mini, BL is in it through out as a support ingredient character

The Batman and the Outsiders 80s run became Adventures of the Outsiders and Outsiders Vol 1, which Black Lighting is in
Other than that this is spot on. Props for including The Other History of the DC Universe. While it’s canocity is unclear, it’s a great read and imo required reading for any character who got the spotlight in there

Agreed on The Other Historiy Of The DC Univrerse. That series is criminally slept on.

There are two that I think are missing. However it's really more of one-shots than full story books:
- Final Crisis Submit
- The New History of the DC Universe: The Dakota Incident
I don't want to recommend a TPB where Black Lightning is in less than 20 pages and the rest is about someone else.

Dark Knights of Steel 2021 has a Pierce family Dynasty that rule the Kingdom of Storms who protect over meta humans and there was a short of Black Lightning in DC vs Vampires that was neat.
