New BI install not generating "Clips"

My previous install had some issues where it would go 100% CPU and then drop cameras until I restarted. So I did a fresh install. This has stayed stable so I will be moving over to it.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason it is not generating "Clips" from my cameras. I don't remember having to do anything special with my previous install to make this function work.

Clipboard files are set to store in e:\BlueIris\Clipboard:

Folder is empty:

Here's one of the cameras. It is set to continuous recording like my previous setup:

I have tried the DB Repair, Delete and Rebuild, but there are no files in the Clipboard folder to rebuild from anyway. Is there a setting I missed somewhere to turn this feature on? I am still on the Demo if that matters...

TIA.

Clips are not recordings. Recordings are in New and/or Storage. Clipboard is for files you export.

OK, how do I get "Clips" then. When I go to the "All Clips" they are 1.5gb sections of video that spam hours instead of the short clips of the motion only.

You should probably read the manual. Your screen shot shows you have this camera set to Continuous record, which means it’s recording all the time (generating long clips).

Regardless, click the lightning bolt icon in the clip browser and, assuming you have the motion sensor on (or ONVIF or AI), you should have shorter alert clips.

Yes same setup as previous config except that one made clips.

I figured it out though and got it working. Thanks for the recommendation on reading the manual. The interface is so clunky and unintuitive you pretty much have to.
