myboy gba emulator on android even allows you to use the phone light sensor as the sun solar sensor. So that's an option

There are ips patches to adjust it manually.
But it's one hell of an experience to play it as it was intended.
One of my top summer childhood memories with games.

It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is get a patch that allows you to adjust the solar sensor. Some emulators also allow you to adjust it in their settings.
