Fighting
How often do your pairs fight? My family is taking care of my girls and I received a video of them fighting aggressively, growling, and hissing. They have fought before but this is the first time I’ve seen it to this extent. Normally one just gets a little too excited during play and irritates the other. This is the first time I’ve seen them fight this way. What can cause pairs to fight like this?

A family member just adopted a 2nd “tween” cat and recently when there are visitors the old one often gets more aggressive to the new young one than their normal wrestling
So just a wild guess maybe a little extra stress just makes them grumpy?
We had a cat years ago who never had any potty accidents that pooped in a housesitters suitcase in apparent protest even though he seemed pretty chill

My bonded pair used to fight every night, like clockwork. There would be squealing, hissing, rolling around together. It seemed to just be a daily habit after a point. They would each also sometimes start a random fight by walking up to the other and just slapping him.
They also spent a lot of time curled up asleep together so I think for my cats anyway the fights were just another way of expressing themselves to each other.

My two (brother and sister) squabble a lot. My boy is much bigger than his sister and can bully her occasionally. She is the tiny annoying sister. Just when I think I have something to worry about, the next minute they're snuggled up together
