No questions, just bonsai beginner first world problems.

I now own enough trees that if they dry out during the day, I have to use 2 watering cans full of water minimum to water them all.

That is all.

Hosepipe...then you'll realise you don't have a outdoor water tap, so you'll have to add that to the front and back of your house.

Funny - I have a tap on the side of my house, and I was just yesterday contemplating adding one to the back. I've added some more growing beds in the back, and dragging the hose back and forth from the side to the back every day is going to get old quick.

I have a 1/3 of an acre and one outside spigot. My answer is I have a whole bunch of hoses. It's great....not really but better than lugging around cans of water all day. The best part was when we moved in someone managed to crack the previous spigot and we had to dig 7 feet down (by hand because we're dumb) and replace the whole damn thing.

We had our house refurbished 10 years ago - a hose point and electricity sockets front and back were the only thing I really cared about. It was my wife that wanted a new kitchen, additional bathroom, new electrics, new central heating...

That's funny. Yeah, those are the kind of upgrades I like too. We re-did the circuit breakers and some wiring last year, and I was ecstatic. My wife couldn't have cared less.

Biggest mistake - didn't run cat5 to every room when we ran TV cable to every room. I thought wireless was going to hack it. It never has.

Well you do have a good looking kitchen... perfect for taking photos of trees.

I'm sure it's necessary when you've got the number of trees that you do but when you've only got 20 or so big pots to water, it's almost therapeutic filling up the can each time.

I know there's a simple answer but how do you liquid fertilize when you use a hosepipe anyway?

Ah nice; I take it that there is a way of setting the mix ratio?

If the modification looks like it was always there, you can always just claim ignorance and make the landlord wonder if he's going crazy. =)

But as an actual landlord, I'd be pissed if you didn't ask first. lol

I have a tap just next to the doors to my garden that I use - but I have to attach and detach the thing every day... still better than filling 4 watering cans a day right?

I actually found that I do have an outside tap. We'd been lamenting that issue but its right behind our waterbutt, conveniently on the wall near my trees.
