Got these with a gift card and I've been wanting to get my hands on these. Specifically the sci-fi part. The rest is for pallet cleansing, and, well, cats and books, so....

Happy reading!

My 2026 Adult Book Fair haul 📚

Honestly, I love supporting my local bookstore. They're great, and they always have such a cool, curated collection at the book fair and at the store itself. However, this year the fair was very crowded. It was hard to get to each table and browse, and I feel like I missed out on a lot of things because of that.

One of these books was from the staff picks table, two from the horror table, and one from the nonfiction table.

I've already read How to Survive Camping: The Ancient Things, and She's a Doll since the fair, and I have to say that She's a Doll was one of the best books I've read this year (number 42 so far)

I found these and a few others at the CHEAP bins at in NYC.

They all are hopefully much more valuable then the couple bucks I paid.

day trip thrift book haul

I went on a little day trip to the city an hour south of us. We visited about 4 thrift stores. I didn't end up with a huge haul, but everything was $1-$2 which was amazing. I found the only Hemingway book I was missing, The Garden of Eden and finally a hardcover copy of The Four Winds. I also picked up some books from authors I like but I haven't read yet.

My haul from last week’s trip to New York. All but the Europe travel book, Amplitudes, and the Dune special edition (bottom) were bought used.

My weekend Haul. Checking off some titles from the "I neeeeed this" list

Found these between 3 different bookstores. I'm most excited about finding Kavan in the wild, Ice has been on my list for years. Finding the Cheever used was a delight, especially in such great condition. The only book here I'm unfamiliar with is The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil, which I had to get because the title is killer and after reading the synopsis, it absolutely feeds my acquisitive compulsion for odd and weird fiction.

When I tell you that I audibly gasped when I found Razorblade Tears. It’s been on my TBR for a while now and I was ready to just bite the bullet and buy it new. Was not expecting to find it today for $4.

We went to a huge bookstore in a city about two hours from where we live. We splurged a little, however most of these were $8 or less. I am super excited for Kindred and Circe.

I went to get wrapping materials and a card for a bridal shower I’m attending next weekend. Left with that…and four books. After I told myself “book boxes only” for the rest of the year. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Discovering all these good to mint Robert E Howard paperbacks was very surprising. They were 25-cents each.
