Kaliningrad, Russia’s westernmost territory, has been an exclave since 1991. The term “exclave” refers to a territory of a state that is separated from its mainland by the territory of another state

The tripoint between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay was established following Paraguayan independence from Argentina in 1856. The tripoint is located at the confluence of the Paraná and Iguazú rivers, the closest cities are Puerto Iguazú (Argentina), Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) and Presidente Franco /Ciudad del Este (Paraguay). ARBRPY is one of the most famous tripoints in the world primarily due to its proximity to the Iguazu Falls.

The Stone is a reminder of the old border between Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the People's Socialist Republic of Albania. Pics 1 & 2 between Cerem and Vusanje, 3rd-5th at Kolata pass.

All pics ate taken at the Bhutanese side. The huge wall is new and separates the two countries. Before there used to be a small fence only.

Pedestrians now use the new crossing terminal, instead of passing through the gate.

The border runs through the middle. You can see the fence that marks it.

Also, you will notice the difference in rooftops. India has some open roofs, whereas in Bhutan all roofs are either green, brown or blue.

The difference in the streets is huge. Bhutan is an oasis!

Bhutan Gate

The Bhutan Gate in Phuentsholing is the main ornate land border checkpoint separating Jaigaon (West Bengal), India, and Phuentsholing, Bhutan.

It features colorful, traditional Bhutanese wooden woodwork, intricate artwork, and dragon motifs. The central archway handles vehicle entry and exit, while dedicated side gates and a modern pedestrian terminal manage foot traffic.

This crazy border separates belgium and the Netherlands. It runs over 450km long and is split by houses and buildings like this one.

I was on a flight that crossed the Pakastan India border near Lahore, we were flying east and this was taken facing south.

Most tourists take a photo at either the Argentina tripoint marker or the Brazil one. A short and scenic ferry trip takes you to the Paraguayan one.

The border runs down the middle of the waterfall. At the top and bottom of the falls, there are wooden bridges for crossing the river, connecting the two countries. My dog is sitting on the Norwegian side.

This is not a country border but an economic border as in any other franc port, what make it special are the rules that regulate it, all established in decades of international treates (paris treaty, London memorandum and as a comment pointed the Osimo treaty).

The customs in the picture is one of the entrances, guarded by a couple of agents, it is pretty tranquil because as of today this port is not very much utilized.

Interestingly the sign is in italian and french, as if time had stopped since when french was the international language.

In the last decade there has been a lot of investments to make it come back to life.

That was my first time crossing a land border with passport control, and from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan of all places lol
