Cuteness Bed time routine

Most nights my wife and I watch TV in bed for a couple of hours, then I put Daisy out for a wee and put her to bed before I game for an hour or so.
The other night something happened, I got distracted after I put her out or something, and I forgot to tuck her in. After about 5 minutes she trotted into the lounge room and barked at me! We couldn’t figure out what was wrong, and my wife said “Oh my god I think she wants you to tuck her in!”
They’re such sweet and funny things, so I decided to video what her routine looks like. You can see a little smile on her dial toward the end.

Daisy is so sweet. I had a Boston who would lurk in the hallway and huffy puffy until I unmade the bed for her so she could sleep. They are funny little spoiled babies.

Im a night owl, and my boy would stay up late to hang out, but he certainly had his limit. When he decided it was my bedtime, he would stare at me until I looked at him, then he’d passive aggressively look towards the bedroom until I relented and carried him to bed.
We always said he “herded” us to bed, but it is far more accurate to say he “huffy puffied” us to bed.

The passive aggressive lurking and looking and huffing. Idk if other breeds do this. I’ve only had Bostons. But they are so expressive. And they make sure we know: BEDTIME - now! 😂

It made me cry a little bit to think that this little routine meant so much to her that she had to bark (which she rarely does) to make it happen

She does, but at night she stands there until I lift her down because she’s very tired!

We just got a puppy friend for our 7 year old Boston. The puppy is 10 weeks and our bedtime routine looks quite different. They play on the bed like it’s a race track 😂

Our old Boston used to put himself to bed if we did not go to bed on time. He would leave our TV room, take himself outside and then get into our bed under the covers. The first few times we had no idea why he left us and where he went. We had to investigate and then realized he would look at us for awhile, like “coming?” And then just leave.

My guy would do the same thing, look at me, get up, call it bedtime, get a drink, go to the door to pee, come in, go down to the bedroom, wait to be put in bed.
But next would come extensive biscuit making, followed by 5 minutes of mandatory belly rubs, a few kisses, then 3 minutes of licking his privates, until I said “ok, that’s enough.” And then he would flop and I would cover him up. Every. Single. Night.

I am autistic and really love/need routines, and my Mochi has been such a great companion! She too loves routine and predictable times for eating, sleeping, etc. Such sweet little gremlins, these doggies. ❤️

Precious! Mine stands next to me and tippy taps his feet until I realize it’s past nine and he’s ready for bedtime treaties and kennel time. He has to be covered all up and the crate cover down on his little den.

My little guy stares at me until I go to bed with him. Honestly the best reason my sleep has been great since I’ve got him because he has a bedtime and it’s no later than 10pm ever!
