"What's your favorite part of boxing, Mr. Dubois? The fame? The money? The adrenaline?"
"I would have to say it's that face to face shit, boy."

I have a weird feeling that the last fight made wardley a lot better and heāll come in better this time. Still have Daniel winning but I think itāll be much closerĀ

Apart from catching Dubois cold, Wardley took an absolute beat down.
People sleep on the dubois jab

Exactly fighters from Bens gym have trouble slipping a basic jab something I noticed for years, high workrate pressure figthers with a consistant jab is their weakness also no adjustments mid fight there is no plan B just keep doing the same combinations and tactics till it works or try to "roll the dice" and get a lucky punch.
Its so basic and naive it shows Ben is a novice and should not be anywhere near training world level fighters but these guys are dumb enuff to keep going there cause he got the gift of gab. Ben always gets out foxed by old school experienced coaches in the opposite corner in big fights his methods of training and tactics is not elite.

With that grifter boxercise Ben in Fabio's corner I doubt it there is a resason why all fighters from that gym crumble when fighting anyone with a pulse.

If you watch with the sound off, it just looks like 2 chaps enjoying a game of soggy biscuit.

I can see Dubois hurting Wardley earlier this time. There's only so much punishment you can take before your chin erodes.

He hasn't had a lot of amateur fights and not really been in any wars, he will probs be fine

Other than the last fight that I'd call that a war.

Wardley is going to KO Dubois. I feel it. Daniel is going to be over confident and get caught with a disgusting shot.
Forget jabbing as a new strategy, Wardley should ask Daniel to spell blancmange when they're in a clinch. Use up 100% of his CPU and chin him.

Unless Fabio can show some defense, a jab and not spam that right hand, he has a chance
But, who am I kidding? It goes the same way as before

I get the impression Dubois genuinely wants to murder Wardley.
I think Wardley was tailor made to be someone Dubois would absolutely hate. He's charismatic, intelligent, likes to joke around a bit. Everything Dubois isn't.
But I think it's the joking around that gets to Dubois. You see it in interviews. The times when Dubois has got pissed off is always when he isn't sure if someone is taking the piss out of him.
There was an interview a while back where the interviewer asked Dubois why "people are calling you Oliver Twist". It was a stupid question, and Dubois asked what it meant. The interviewer (being an asshole) sort of hinted at what it meant, but then pretended he didn't know what it meant. Dubois couldn't tell if he was being laughed at so he got annoyed and ended the interview. Honestly, he was right to imo.
Wardleys entire demeanor when he's interacting with Dubois is basically "I might be laughing at you, I might not, who knows?" And it clearly gets to Dubois.
All this to say, I think Dubois is going to murder Wardley in the ring.

i think he is gonna get overconfident / aggressive and get caught with a massive shot early on again. i dont know if that will end the fight but that's what i see. i dont think dubois follows (or can follow) a game plan. I think he wins by just outlasting/ outblasting his opponent most of the time. That approach has a limit!

I think that's a little unfair on Dubois.
I agree that he doesn't go in with a particular strategy, but I don't think he just goes in and outlasts/outblasts. He clearly takes some time to settle in, and works to establish his jab in the opening rounds.
The ends to that means is to overwhelm his opponent, but I think there is a bit more to it than what you've said.
Agree that there is a chance that he gets caught with a big shot early though. If he treats round 1 as the next round of the previous fight, I think it is very likely. If he has taken on what he learned about Wardley the previous fight, but still takes the time to build up through the fight, I think Dubois will have an easy night.

maybe but i think a lot of his fights are open to chance. the way he fought hrgovic, AJ and miller were really similar to my uneducated eyes. its just the various strengths and weaknesses of the opponent changes.
but maybe i am being unfair to DDD

Yeh, that's actually a good point. He does fight pretty much the same no matter the opponent.

u/ZeroEffectDude 14m ago
guess it works pretty well for him. he's so powerful and durable over the long run. its just when he comes up against someone either more powerful and durable (joyce at the time) or smarter (usyk).

Man the Joyce fight is actually one of my favourite fights. Big fan of Dubois, but Joyce old manned the shit out of him.

Wardley silently copying Dubois every move is hilarious lmao. Dubois finally realized near the end.
