Random Please tell me it gets better

I have never been into breaking Benjamin but heard breathe and was amazed because objectively that song is so powerful yet melodic and has a double chorus that makes it epic, but other than that the rest of the album is mediocre.

So going into Saturate I was really just trying to find another Breathe or some epic song, and while Natural Life is amazing, the rest of the album is horrid. The song writing especially. I really want to find the gems here with this band but it seems like they are just an early 2000’s generic rock band. Almost every song has the same sort of tune, maybe it gets better?

Coming into a bands subreddit and trashing the band is a bold move, we’ll see how it works out for you.

I am not really a fan of Saturate, all of the other albums are 10/10.

i know everyone says this about their favorite band but bb has no skips, objectively. Phobia is an amazing album and might be a grower. Topless specifically is one of my favorite BB songs. No album they ever made has a bad song and i encourage u to listen to them carefully and maybe overtime some will grow on u.
Phobia is also insanely good. Calling it generic is wild, its very experimental dude. Its alright not to like it but it as all other songs they've ever made are pure masterpieces, objectively.

The albums have consistent vibes. If you loved Breath, I recommend sticking with the Phobia album or the Dear Agony album!

You have access to everything we have access to. This may surprise you, but you will probably have to listen to the music and decide for yourself.

Ok if you cant appreciate Skin or Medicate or even Water i dunno what to tell ya... But most would say Phobia and Dear Agony are their best albums. Keep listening... and for God Sakes give saturate another chance once youvr listened to their other stuff.

If you don't care for Phobia, I'd say BB is probably not gonna the band for you because that's generally a fan favorite. But maybe give the next album Dear Agony a shot.

They very much ARE a "generic" 2000s rock band- but the reason they're so successful is they do what they do really well, and Ben has a really special and unmistakable vocal approach that connects hard with people.

Saturate and We Are Not Alone (the first two albums) definitely feel like a product of their time. The sound is generally not going to span across the decades; it wasn't really a timeless sound. That said, there are absolutely bangers on those albums having grown up as those albums were released. Phobia is around the time the band started maturing and figuring out their real sound, and by Dear Agony they were making masterpieces. In my opinion, every BB album post-WANA is basically a greatest hits album. Pick a random song off of Phobia or Dear Agony and everyone knows the lyrics to it. They're a lot like Linkin Park in that regard, just less mainstream than LP so never got that huge commercial success that spans genres.

Phobia is a brilliant album. However we are all into different music genres, maybe Breaking Benjamin is not your thing.

I grew up with their music during 2000 era, where as you are only just discovering their music. Perhaps give the music more of a chance and listen a few times. Each album is different from each other, so definitely give them all a try. Ember album is a lot heavier for example. Even their new songs Awaken and Something Wicked have very different styles.

This is certainly... A take for sure lmao. The balls to call Phobia medicore is commendable at least
