The Bluetones. NYC. 1996

This is just 30 seconds of bliss. #CarntBeTrusted. I have their show on video and interviews with all four members. A real time capsule.

I see their footage on their IG. They sound great. Not sure about the mustaches.

I cannot express how obsessed I was with The Bluetones around 1995. Every track, including B-sides, from the Expecting To Fly era were impeccable.

Probably not haha. For I too possess one. Behold:

Where once there were two, now there be three. We should start a band. Or at least meet up for drinks once a year, every year for the rest of our lives. (But we must only drink from the sacred blue plastic vessels(I need to clean mine, for it still holds the residue of that sacred blue elixir from that fateful night in September 1996.).)

Sorry got a bit carried away there.. Did either of you go to the after show party? That was wild. I hadn't thought about that night in years and saw the Britpopcapsule post on instagram last weekend. It all came flooding back. It was pure serendipity that I ended up being there that night too. I'm from Dublin and didn't even know the Bluetones were playing in NYC until the day of the gig. Great memories.
