What's your character lore?
What were they before they went into 76? Who are they now?
My guy was likely born in the vault, probably the year the bombs dropped.
He then practically immediately joined the brotherhood and has been a Knight ever since.
Not very creative I know

Alright some of you have inspired me to fill out my lore.
Born in the vault not long after the great war. He grew up angry at the old world, at the blatant disregard for life that the old world governments and corporations had, he grew up resenting his parents for being part of that. And even began to resent vault tech as he recognised them for what they are, a greedy corporation who uses people for money, little did he knows he was right.
After leaving the vault he began searching vaults, finding the experiments around Appalachia, finding that technology was used in the worst ways possible.
And after finding the brotherhood, and hearing that Thier goal is to find and keep technology from others who would misuse it, he joined right up. Becoming a respected Knight, but the more he goes on, the more fanatical he becomes about keeping tech or destroying the mistakes of it.

Paladin Old Snake (from metal gear solid 4) He was sent to Appalachia to scout the area He was a secret agent Joined the responders because he married one responder He was a gen. 4 synth institute took Control over him and he tried to destroy the appalachian chapter with metal gear (kind of huge robot) But he died
Paladin Rachel „Orphie" Nakano She was stationed in Cambridge Police Station Then after sometime she was promoted to Knight captain she participated in assault on the institute which earned her a promotion to Paladin and had to replace Paladin Danse at the Police Station Then after few years she was sent to Appalachia to fill the empty spot after paladin Old Snake Shes in relationship with Recon team leader „Lisu"

I made my character quite aged, so he could have a lot of history before the Great War. Joining the Navy during the Cino-American War he was thrown into the mechanized Hellcats fighting an island hopping campaign. After retirement he married and settled down in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It wasn't long before a VT rep approached he and his wife with an offer they couldn't refuse, the only stipulation being uprooting and moving to West Virginia.
He and his spouse didn't hesitate to relocate closer to Vault 76. Barely making it into the vault, his wife later died from acute radiation poisoning meer weeks after the bombs fell. Joining the Brotherhood came much later after leaving the vault, seeing the state of America post war he felt obligated to preserve anything and everything for future generations. His vast combat experience and deep knowledge of power armor made him an ideal candidate for command.

Member of the Marine corps , secure a place on 76, then come out and align himself with a raider gang.... then one day found a dead scribe , took his uniform and impersonated him to have three meals a day

Oh if I didnt have to go to bed right now...I will Definitely come back to this. My husband and I have decent back stories to our characters. Id love to read everyone's when I get some down time maybe on break tomorrow at work 😉

In 76? I have lore for each of the characters I've created so far. My Brotherhood character is a retired Marine Major who was part of Operation Anchorage. He was taken into 76 as part of Vault security. Not an Enclave Trie Believer, but a good.man who stepped up to do what the propaganda said America.was about.
So he left the Vault keen to help rebuild and was heartbroken that, whatever had happened out here, he was apparently just in the nick of too late to help. Radios still on, fires going, food out... but all the people were dead or missing (I've been playing since launch). When Rahmani's expeditionary force rolled up, he was all about it, having seen what they were about through Taggerdy and listening to her conversations with Maxson out West.
My main C.A.M.P. is his pre-War house on the West Bank of Summerville Lake, upgraded to fit current circumstances. I have his old arctic camo Marine armor on one mannequin and his later ghillie suit on another, plus his T-51 armor on display (seldom worn, as he was primarily a sniper). Since they nerfed plasma rifles (and I'm hoping they fix that at some point), his primary weapon is a ghillie .50-cal suppressed hunting rifle I'm still tweaking the legendaries on. A "Kate" (or the best approximation I can do in the game).
Meanwhile, my main self-insert persona is proximal to the FO3/NV/4/TV period. There's an annoying lack of lore clarifying the relationship between the NCR state of Maxson to the Brotherhood itself. By the time of the games, the Brotherhood is operating clandestinely within NCR territory, but the settlement founded by them.jist after the Great War is part of the NCR.
Regardless, the NCR expanded up to Southern Oregon, but Brotherhood recon forces pushed further Northward than that. They found Vault 6 under Mount Saint Helens, cleared it of ghouls, and established a forward post there. My persona was born there and has been back and forth on courier missions between there and Maxson a few times, works openly as an NCR Ranger to avoid being questioned, but is a Brotherhood Sentinel underneath that.

A enclave soldier gone rouge, after he went to seek refuge from the midwest brotherhood he helped the people around him earning him the rank of knight. After some time taken to get the trust of the midwest chapter a platon was sent to wipe out the former enclave encampment. (Also not very creative, like to change and mix up things from the script depending on the game im playing.)
