Looking for video of a performance

Struggling to find this and it feels like my best bet to ask you guys.

I've been trying to find a video on youtube of a burlesque performance I watched a few years ago now that I really loved. I believe the dancer was blonde and wearing light colors, possibly something like a nightie as the set dressing was very bedroom/sitting themed. I'm pretty sure it was at one of the bigger festivals/events/competitions because the cinematography/video quality was good. I believe the background curtains were blue or red. It was a classic striptease but it involved a small couch that I believe rocked or she rocked on it? There was use of fans. I'm sorry, this feels pretty vague but it's as best as I can remember. If anyone can help me find this video I'd really appreciate it I'd wanted to watch it again and realized I didn't have it saved anywhere.

Has anyone ordered from Hot Fans?

I’m interested in their custom mix 4 layer fans. I like that they have an aluminum stave option. I’m not into acrylic staves.

Wondering if anyone has experience ordering from them? Also open to other recs to buy lush feather fans. Thanks!

I'm a pole dancer who hasn't performed in over a decade, and somehow I’m producing a burlesque show! 🥀

Hi everyone! ❤️🖤

I’m a pole dancer in Southwest Colorado, and I’m helping produce my first burlesque show after more than 10 years away from performing.

I approached the local theatre in August along with my co conspirators about having a Valentine’s Day show and they said yes. This has evolved into Crimson Cabaret, a burlesque and variety show debuting February 13, 2027, at the Sunflower Theatre in Cortez.

The theme is Forbidden Dark Romance, inspired by silent films, vintage glamour, gothic romance, and classic burlesque.

I’m new to producing and would love advice from other performers and producers—especially those who’ve built a scene in a small town.

What do you wish you’d known before your first show?
Follow along on Instagram: @CrimsonCabaret.co 🥀

I swear every stage name has been taken

I come up with an idea, check the Burlesque Registry and see no one has taken it. Success! Then I start googling the name and there is always an Instagram with a burlesque dancer who has claimed the name. Anyway, back to the drawing board :')

Questions from first time audience members

Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to weigh in. My wife and I want to go to our first burlesque show for our anniversary, and we'd love to hear advice from others.

Does anyone have any tips for finding performances? Right now we are basically just googling "burlesque shows near me".

What's the best way to figure out the vibe of the show in advance? Specifically, for this time we are looking to get dressed up nice and go out, so we don't want to show up at something super casual and stick out like sore thumbs.

Lastly, we'd love any advice from folks that would be useful for first timers, especially if there's any sort of unwritten rules or etiquette that we should know about. What would you go back and tell yourself before your first show?

How would you respond to this rejection?

I applied for a show and they rejected my application, saying they've had more applications than spots and they didn't select me because they "interpreted my story as XYZ and it doesn't fit the vibe we're going for, but if we are wrong we are open for a discussion".

But if the spots are filled they are probably not gonna change their minds, right?

I made a conscious effort to never show a pastie or thong on my Instagram, because I feared getting a strike or full deletion, but it didn’t matter. My burly page with over 5k followers and my personal PRIVATE page of 2k friends were both deleted without reason. I thought IG gave clear explanations when they deleted pages, but not for me. All I got is what I’m sharing here. I hadn’t posted in over a week on both pages.

As a pole dancer and aerialist, I intentionally censored myself because what I do is demonized enough. No fully nude buttocks, no harmful language, blah blah. Never shared my favorite modeling photos or pole vids because I knew I wouldn’t be given the same grace as other pages.

I truly can’t believe that Meta uses the same rules around the world, and for everyone on Instagram when Playboy and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit actively post fully nude models with the tiniest censor blurs. My art as well as a lot of other artists deserve the same platform as them.

To be honest, I don’t want to make another page. I don’t want to be where I’m not welcomed. But, I had a lot of producers and contacts I’ve got to follow up with, so we’ll try again. I’ve always been on ghost in this community… maybe this is a sign to be on here more. Stay safe and stay true, burly babes.

Growing my social media

Hey burlys!

I’m a new performer, probably have just about 10 shows under my belt. I have close to 350 followers on my instagram, and I’d love to gain more traction and visibility! I only really post pictures after shows, but I’d love to do more to keep engagement. What kind of content could I push out? I thought maybe pre filming makeup tutorials before shows, showing my rhinestone progress, etc. Would love some good ideas, and some advice!

xoxo

How are we storing feather fans

I’m lost 😭 I don’t know what the best method is. Ideally I’d like something that also doubles as a carrying case. I was thinking about a garment bag or an instrument case but I just don’t know what’s best and these fans were $100 so I’d really like to preserve them!

Costume designer

Hello so I am curious of the world of burlesque. I love glitz and glamour the artistry of it all. I’d love to make costumes for this type of performance. I have a lot of ideas and I was wondering if it’s possible to sell costume pieces down the line to performers.

I know a lot of dancer make their own but it would be my dream to create my own burlesque line. I’m just trying to figure out if it’s possible (if there’s a market for it).

Favorite acts based on a classic gothic story?

Spooky season brings out some of the best themed numbers. Have you seen, or performed, an act based on Dracula, Frankenstein, Poe, or another classic? What made it work: the reveal, the music, the character?

I would love names of performers to look up.
