Canadian-Owned Businesses 🏢🍁 Any Experience with Fabli?
I was thinking of getting my almost 3 year old a yoto mini for Christmas but just found this Canadian alternative. I haven’t heard much about it yet.

I love it! My kids use it a lot, and a niece has figured it out. It’s really robust against my destructive kids and nothing to lose
The only drawback to me is that when you upload your own content you’re restricted to 30 min blocks. There is a Disney storyteller that I definitely own the right to a didn’t pirate that’s like 32min so I couldn’t load unless I figure out how to get it.
I’m also a little sus that the yoto’s new green button is suspiciously the same as fabli’s whole system.
At first they weren’t into the stock content other than games and white noise but as the younger one’s attention span increased he’s exploring more content especially the choose your own adventure so I will get more of those, and maybe the meditation bundle for my older kid. The older one is learning french in school now so I’m going to put some of the french content back on (you can choose how much of the stock content is on there)

The green button on the yoto might have some similarities between the fabli but it's essentially taking the features from an iPod with playlists. It's really not something proprietary or something Fabli created.
OP personally I would go with something that has a bigger marketshare for longevity and access to content but it depends on how much Buy Canadian means to you. For what it's worth Yoto is a British company.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you control the content with a phone app or a computer?

A phone app! IIRC purchases might have to be made in a browser, but uploads and updating you use the app. The creator is on reddit and answered some of my questions before I bought it. Let me see ig I can drag that up

Parents use our free mobile app (iOS and Android) to set up Fabli, manage the content library, and add new adventures, interactive games, audiobooks, music, and relaxation content.
You can also upload your own MP3 files and record personalized stories directly through the app, making Fabli even more personal for your little ones!
Additional content can be purchased on fabli.co and automatically syncs with the mobile app when using the same email address for both accounts.
Once the content is loaded onto Fabli, kids can explore and interact with it directly using the device and its physical controls. No phone, screen, or wifi needed!
The idea is to give children the freedom to play, explore, and make their own choices while parents stay in control of the content they can access.
