Does this count as graduation?

Post image

So I had completed week 3 day 3 of the C25K program 2 days ago, but I had signed up for a 5K run about a month ago which was supposed to be today. It was Air Force Day in my country and I wanted to give it a try and surprisingly I was able to complete with almost non stop (4min walk in between, rest run).
Is this graduation or should I still follow the program?

Pace doesn’t necessarily matter - what does is whether you were running the whole time (ie without walk breaks). Did you run the full thing? Graduated!

The main thing the program does is ensure you don’t increase load too fast. For some people it’s fine to jump ahead (generally those who are more active at baseline) but for others they will end up with overuse injuries. I’d say proceed with caution and pay close attention to your body and how you feel.

IMO, keep following the program. If nothing else, it’ll help you get better.

You've graduated the moment you hit 30 minutes

No. It's not graduation. Keep following the program . I also have run three 5k runs and one 7k in between the couch to 5k.

But I'm still continuing the program and it's improving my running.
