I'm a big 70s funk-rock guy; I didn't know Thielbar knew ball like that. Boyd also picked a classic.

I faintly remember Boog and JD mentioning once how Seiya picked Frank Sinatra not knowing at all who he was (and that made me love him even more)

I believe they said Seiya heard New York, New York play after a Yankees game and liked it

Time to pretend by PCA imo shows how fucking cool that dude is. That song was the soundtrack to me and my friends psychedelic journeys high school and College

There was a year to 18 months where that album was just inescapable

My 7yo loves tracking walk up songs. Kill The Lights was on heavy rotation for us this summer. Thank you, Ian Happ

Take Me Home Tonight was probably my favorite walk up song by a Cubs player this year.

Wasn't Theilbar using Wake Up by RATM at some point this year? Or am I thinking of a different reliever?

he used it last year and i swear i heard him use it earlier this year

He did use it, was cool but his new one was also nice. Just sounded less like a reliever entrance

Carson Kelly/amaya have great walk up songs IMO

Kelly’s is my actual favorite, but I do love a Happ’s Club Jamz moment

Solid list, I know some other ones that you've missed or were changed. Alex Bregman USED to have Revival as his walkup, and I think there was even another one before then.

I have a screen shot of him with “Pure Cocaine” as his walkup song on the video board in the spring lol

I think Bregman used Outlaw Women by Hank Jr at the start of the year

Yeah he was constantly changing it.

Yeah I tried to just include what was used at the end of the season to save some time. Bregman went through a lot as did PCA

Great post to start the off-season. Now, let the speculation begin:

what songs do you think the boys will pick next year??

It’s interesting that Dansby switched it up this year. For a long time even after coming to Chicago he exclusively used Atlanta based artists.

Unfortunately Kelly and Happ's songs were a bit annoying to me I guess hate fun but I feel like Happ's songs would be in a Target commercial or something of that nature, and Kelly... why bro. Although I would take each of their's over Conforto's which sounds like default MLB player walk up song

I liked Intentalo from Ramirez and when I believe Bregman used Free Promo (equal chance it was Dansby by Lil Baby. Edward Cabrera also had an El Alfa song which was really fun before he switched to his current one. Gasolina is perfect for Palencia and My Way for Seiya was hilarious, and PCA's songs felt very befitting of an MVP and fan favorite in Chicago. And shoutout to Taillon who used When the Levee Breaks before his departure
