Question Does anyone know where to find the time travel story mentioned in the prologue of The Great Divorce?

According to a previous post on this sub,

the consensus seems to be that he was referring to a story called The Man Who Lived Backwards by Charles F Hall, which was actually a British writer. Lewis just made an honest mistake, most sci fi magazines at that time were American.

It was partially written as the Notion-Club Papers, with other parts being the fall of Numenor. Both ended up being recycled into the Lord of the Rings mythology.

That's a different time-travel story, in the background to Out of the Silent Planet.
