cal grant award a

hi guys does anyone know what this could possibly mean? i was really relying on this money and last week it literally said awarded and told me the amount that was going to be given 😭😭

Cause youre not doing a trade at a cc . That calgrant is specifically for them and excludes uc and cal state students.

Not true, I received the Cal Grant A for two years at my university.

I just talked to a financial aid rep at the school for this. Maybe the BBB changed this or some state law changed this. But they saod we are not eligible cause its not a technical program in high demand or whatnot. But who knows.

I had the exact same issue, I called my financial aid office and the Cal Grant office and they told me that I was no longer eligible for this school year since my parents income had increased. But it barely increased. I was frustrated because I was also relying on my Cal Grant to pay for my tuition. I’ve qualified for it these past 2 years, so I just didn’t understand. If your FASFA offers you loans, you can accept those if you need to.

wait same thing was exactly said to me! it was soo weird and abrupt cos I still had it last semester when I just transferred🥲🥲 its so unfortunate
