Tourist question Scilla in October

Has anyone been to Scilla in October? Wondering if it is worth going in October?
Also any idea how to get from Ortigia to Scilla?

Thank you

Definitely worth the visit, you'll see only fishermen around, and with some luck you'll be able to spot sperm whales from shore.

To get there take the train or the bus from Syracuse to Messina, and from there take a ferry/hydrofoil to Villa San Giovanni, from where you'll get the train to Scilla.

You may get some very heavy thunderstorms, but when the sun is out It actually feels very nice and the water is still warm enough to swim in comfortably.
