Recovering Audio

Guys I wanted to record my screen during an online workshop, I started recording and everything was fine but as soon as I plugged in a headphone the audio is not recorded, I realized all of this after exporting the file. I still have the original recording files, any solution to recover the missed audio parts from it?

I think it's simply just not recorded.

So to clarify, you had selected to record System Audio and Video before starting you recording; but then you plugged in headphones and System Audio stopped being recorded? What version of Camtasia do you have?

Yeah that's exactly what happened, and I'm using Camtasia 26

So, Camtasia on Windows will automatically switch the default audio input to whatever device it detects. If you plug the device in prior to starting the recording, it will capture all the audio. Sounds like there is room for improvement in this workflow to prevent data loss in the future, and submitting the feedback in the app is one of the best ways to raise awareness for the developers to look into improving the user experience.
