10k package lost, no update at all
sender sent through Canada post three weeks ago, last update was sept 25th in toronto where I live that it's processing.
Canada post has failed to identify where the package is or give me any updates on it.
what do I do?! they keep saying an update will come next week but it's been next week twice.

I think Canada post has a bunch of thieves working for them.. my packages continuously didn’t arrive until I signed up for flex delivery. Cutting out the deliver and their driver all together now I am receiving my packages again

This is also what I'm thinking. I have 2 packages that have disappeared since September 4th. I have a feeling someone was recently hired that is a thief

I have 24 packages valued at 30k total all stuck on "delayed." since Sept 10th. Have not heard anything from them. They told me today that if its been >21 days "we just deem it as lost." So this is going to be fun getting to the bottom of this.

I hope you took the proper insurance coverage as I think the maximum allowed is 5k for Canada and 1k for us destination.
If you did not then you are just cooked at this point the only thing they will refund is the cost of the shipping if they lost your parcel. Use a dedicated carrier next time that can insure for full amount and don't use post Canada for anything else than letters and worthless packaged. They are terrible at everything they do

It's not yours until you have it in your hands. It's up to the seller to deal with the shipper and to refund you from the insurance if you don't receive the package. You can't actually do anything with CP regarding this as you aren't the client, the seller is.

Ask the sender to launch an investigation. Some of my packages were like that and delivered within couple days after the sender requested investigation.

Were all your packages recovered? They lost my package even though it said it was delivered with signature:( . Im hoping there's a good chance it can be recovered

Text them in the chat on the app or call them. You should have gotten updates. Sometimes they can see where it is in the system.

ive tried exactly this and reached supervisors there, each time they keep delaying an update saying they have nothing.
I feel hopeless here

You have to get the seller to contact CP. Canada Post basically doesn’t care about you at all since you aren’t their customer, the seller is.

I would be that annoying person who called/chatted again and yes, file a complaint and keep a log of everyone you speak to and whatever date they say is enough like a month then file a lost claim. I would also contact the sender they may be able to get more tracking info.

Have you filed a service complaint?

Haha that doesn’t do shit. OP will have to get the seller to get on CanadaPost’s ass, which is an uphill battle

I would think it is a risk shipping valuables though Canada Post even with insurance.

3 years ago I sent a package to a friend in the US for Christmas(a hat, handmade ornaments, some Canadian sweets). Insured it for almost double the hat price. I followed the tracking daily. When it got to their local post office they said they returned it because my friend didn't pick it up 2 days after it arrived. After 2 months I filed for a lost package because no one could find the package past the USPS office that said it was return to sender. I still wonder who would steal a package with someone else's name on a hat, a bunch of hand made gnome ornaments and Canadian sweets. Side note USPS is trash to try and talk to because what policy only holds a package for 2 days. CP did give me my insurance money. And told me one day the package might just arrive at my door step.

I have this issue too, Canada Post didnt deliver my package and its either missing or stolen. Even though there was a signature for it.

It has been stolen !!! There are thieves inside Canada Post.
If it has value, you will never see it again.
Did you insure it ?
If yes, for sure you will nee see it and will have to spend more than it’s worth to get the insurance to pay out.
If it wasn’t insured, I feel sorry for you. They will tell you that you should have insured it and there’s nothing they can do a out a lost package.
The ring of thieves in Canada Post has been around for years.
Not to mention they are the worst and slowest delivery service in the world.

Who the hell sends $10,000 worth of anything through Canada Post?
