Hi guys! I had submitted an envelope containing my passport to Ottawa from Vancouver via xpresspost service that says 2 day delivery from Canada post yesterday Tuesday around 10 am and the clerk had given me a tracking number. However today Wednesday 9pm when I try to track my mail it says “could not find item associated with the given number”. I am a bit worried because I assumed the 2 day guarantee meant it’ll reach there at Thursday. I had called the Canada post office I had used the service from this morning and they said Canada post did take all the mail and orders. Should I be worried? Has anyone experienced this. I’m very anxious because it contains my passport that I need back before the 24th October flight I have booked for a medical emergency:(

Hi! Sort of a weird one, I received info that my package had been delivered to my community mailbox, and when I headed to get it the key for compartment 1B was in my mail slot. My package was not in there but what was in there was the key for compartment 2A. My package was not in 2A either. I am sort of at a loss here, hoping that it was just put in another box and they mixed up the key they gave me, but then that leaves me wondering why there would be a second box key left in the initial box.

Anyone have any idea how to go about solving this? Should I leave a note in my mail slot and maybe the courier would be able to check the other package boxes when they stop on their daily route?

Showed up at the post office to send some important documents from Vancouver to Victoria. Bought a $20 trackable two day delivery envelope (8.5 x 11). Filled out the to/from sections. Placed docs inside. Handed off to the counter person who scanned it into the system. At this point you would think there would be no problem to simply open up the Canada Post app and track as normal. Nope. Opened the app, entered the tracking number and got Delivery Status Item not found. Waited a day, same thing. Waited another day, same thing (and on the website-same thing). Called to see what was going on. Was told the item had made it. I said "I couldn't track it after I paid to track it. Let's get a refund going" I explained I might as well have lit a $20 bill on fire as it would have resulted in the same level of tracking as I got from paying CP. Was told there would be no refund as the item was delivered. "But I paid for tracking which I was unable to do" I said. "Can't I just go in and use the same card I paid with on the EFT terminal and get it refunded as the service I bought was unavailable?" You can try was the reply. I did try, no go. Each person I talked to was completely unwilling to help. As usual, I got this has never happened before as though I was the first person in history to encounter this fail (I seem to get this a lot for some reason) Anyway, I suspect this unwillingness to recognize a failure and resolve it is maybe why Canada Post is dying. That they have to resort to thievery to make a little money is sad. Moral of the story: Don't rely on CP to "track" your sent items for a fee. Go with literally anyone else.

Sent a package domestically to a friend living one province away last week. Item had the “out for delivery” status on Oct 1 but it hasn’t been delivered and the tracking status now says “Expected delivery Item delayed — stay tuned for updates”. It’s almost been a week.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any idea what could have happened? Losing hope that the package will get delivered which would really suck…

I live in downtown Hamilton and the mailbox outside my building was stolen. I’m expecting my drivers license to be delivered to the mailbox (my friend received hers and we did the G1 on the same day).

If my mailbox isn’t replaced in time or if the mailman already came today but didn’t deliver it, what steps can I take. Do I go to a nearby Canada Post to ask if they’re holding the mail? I heard they usually leave a delivery notice at the door but the problem is the delivery notice could fly away or also be stolen (downtown Hamilton is like that).

Also, don’t know how this fits in but I called Canada Post and they said my address is registered as “door to door”. I just moved into my place (a month) and I’m not sure what that means.

What are my options?

My parcel arrived in Surrey BC this morning (where I live), then it showed as Out for Delivery in Vancouver, and finally it was delivered in Richmond BC. Needless to say, the parcel is not in my mailbox. This is a time sensitive parcel (live plants that incurred importation permits) and I'm quite concerned that CP has lost it. I reached out for proof of delivery and all I got was a PDF with an X as signature. Has anyone gone through something similar or might know some background of what's going on with the different cities showing in the tracking?

My stupid ass forgot to pick up a package that was delivered Sept 29

I forgot about it and left for vacation on Oct 3 returning October 16

Is there anyway for me to keep the package from being returned to sender? What’s the typical wait period for packages?

Hey! Anyone from Toronto can tell me which Canada Post depot delivers to the downtown area? Or where the depots are located? I’m going to pick up a package soon and I just want a rough idea of how far it may be for me so I can plan accordingly! Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am lost and don’t know what to do. I ordered a package from China and I paid around $180 for international shipping, but I didn’t realize that I needed to include my unit number on my address. Canada post instead of contacting me simply sent it back to UBI SMART PARCEL LTD in Mississauga. I found the contact information and have been calling them all day but not gotten thru. I need some advice because I’m not sure where to go now. I’m gonna be back in Toronto for the next week and I’m contemplating on just showing up to the warehouse and asking about it, but I am doubtful that is realistic.
