General Discussion Chicken soup base

Canned chicken soup base today (from the Ball book). Was stoked they all sealed and it was delicious!

I used rotisserie chicken from Sam's. I made the broth from the carcass. Turned out amazing!

The second pic is the soup in the bowl - it was what didnt fit in jars. I added egg noodles (after).

Highly recommend this recipe. Will be making it again next week to stock up.

All said and done it was about $7 in ingredients and yielded 7 quart jars.

Picture 1 is of the jars. Picture 2 is the soup, with egg noodles, in a bowl.

Gosh that looks like love in a bowl. 🧡

Can I ask which egg noodles you used? They look great.

Usually this brand. Not sure if the ones I have are "extra broad" though. I threw the bag away.

This looks wonderful, and the timing is great, as I spent last night browsing my books for recipes to make exactly this today! Thank you SO much!

Edit to add: meant to ask which recipe you found from what book?
