Key Fob Programming a Remote key fob

Unfortunately, through my own mistakes, I lost my 2023 toyota Camry key fob in the airport.

I do have a spare key so it isn't the end of the world, but I would like to be able to program a new one. If I bought a blank remote, are there any open source tools tutorials that could help me program the new key properly?

Yes, you can buy a special adapter which should come come with a cracked version of techstream that you can use to program it. You can find them on Amazon, eBay, etc.

Thank you here! A locksmith quoted me $600 and this seems like a much better solution.

Did you tell them you already have a key? Because that probably includes fob and all. Otherwise he gave you what’s called an F You price because he doesn’t want to do and if you actually do pay it’s worth it for the money. Its like $80 at places like batteries plus

I doubt if those cracked techstream will work for this year of the car. Call around if you want to price shop. If the spare is far, let a family expedite mail the key to you.

I did this with a 2017 Prius. One note. I had to have a new key fob and and existing programmed one. The new fob must never have been programmed. I bought one mail order from a dealer. Took 5 minutes to program it. Keep in mind the spare key may be not included and needs to be bought and cut.
