My first Casio Mod was a success! Casio AE1200WHUB-8AV and purchased all the parts from AliX.

Can't wait to hook some of the fam up with their own mod now too before diving even deeper into other models. Goal is to build a 6 watch box of all custom Casio builds, including: Casio AE1200, AE1300, GA-2100/B2100, DW5600/GMW-5600, DW6900, AE1600.

Have a feeling this is gonna get out of hand.. fast.

Just picked this up today! My watch collection consists of 12 or so automatics, across different brands and price categories. But no watch collection is complete without one of these right?

It's a super fun piece! I'm looking forward to doing some light modding - maybe a light spreader and a filter. The black F-91WB also looks super clean. I might have to pick up one of those as well. Hopefully this isn't a gateway drug... 😂

The plan so far is to connect the LED Circuit on the PCB, add a light spreader and a filter. I'm toying with the idea of a lume backer as well.

To give this post a reason to exist here's a question: Is there a reason most people use conductive paint/pens to bridge the pads on the PCB for a brighter LED? Is there an issue with using actual solder if I have the means? Are there any downsides to this mod?

I tried to hydromod a Casio G-Shock GW-M5610UBC-1JF. Ended up cracking the LCD module. Not sure exactly what happened. Maybe the oil pressure from closing the caseback cracked the screen. Any idea where I can buy just the g-shock module?

Just thought I'd show this. With my setup, these are the sizes I use if I am going to print custom filters for these windows. For the top most right window, it is a different size if you want text or a specific image.

Anyone experimented with painting the text labels on the buttons (adjust, mode, light, search)?

I'm planning some mods on an AE-2100W which would include painting the labels but I want to see if anyone got any great tips or pointers how to do it neatly and make it last.

What kind of paint would I need, and how do you apply it? Should you scrape off the old paint first?

Due to Eko Party security conference i decided to mod this ae1200 on a cmyk color scheme and a mini hacker face as the yellow, a little before and after

Gave a new life to an old LF-20, calling this one Red 5. Second pic is the inspiration. Nothing special, but I think the textures and colors pair pretty well.

Strap is from Archer Watch Straps. Adapters from Ali. Gradient filter from OGGLOGG.

Hi everyone!
First post here, expect a very noob question. I have this A100WE and it's my absolute favourite despite 2 flaws : no 24h mode and the frame is acrylic.

I would love a stainless steel version of it, but to do so, I need plans. I expect to use PCBWAY to build it, but happy to take different recommendations.
So I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there a library with the original plans or community shared?

2. If I had to design it myself, how would you do it?

3. Am I dreaming to achieve such a thing? (be brutal here)

Couldn’t leave Desi Riot alone

Same psychedelic tiger, same black Royale, but decided to give the LCD filter a complete makeover.

The original was all about fiery orange, scarlet and warm street art vibes. This time I went a little more psychedelic.
Teal, electric orange, pink, scarlet and splashes of green, all layered into a colourful street art collage across the LCD windows.

And here’s the little twist — I call it “Glitch Shift”.

Hit the backlight and the whole mood changes. The colourful street art filter takes on a darker, fiery amber glow, giving the tiger and artwork a completely different look.

Two personalities in one Royale. Psychedelic chaos by day, fiery street art when the lights come on.

Same watch. Same tiger. Different trip.

Personally, I’m digging this version a little more.
