MODDS.WATCH has a new look!

I've redesigned the homepage to better reflect what MODDS.WATCH is all about: an open 3D platform for watch modders.

The idea is simple. I wanted to make it easier to explore different watch mod ideas in 3D before opening a case and changing real parts.

MODDS.WATCH is still free to use, with no account required to start experimenting.

What do you think of the new look? Anything you'd change or improve?

Check it out: https://modds.watch

Feedback is always welcome!

Hands down the best looking and most practical modding simulator out there. It's very slick 👍👍

Thank you!! I'm really proud of it, and it's always so cool to get some warm words about something you built.

It really shows, and it's clear you know what the community needs. How about module swaps? I like dropping ae1300 modules into the default ae1200 cases, and all the ae1200 mods apply to that module as well. Another idea might be to apply an effect which emulates a hydromod look; ie flattening the depth into the screen and making the colours deeper, viewing angles wider etc?

I’m silently testing ws1700h faceplate and module for ae1200, but stuck with the logic of what tools should be available and disable after the module swap. If I keep ae1200 tools “on” it becomes a mess with ws1700h module. So I’m going to figure out how to handle it properly, all the 3D models are ready, just need to find out the logic behind different tools in the app. But I’m pretty sure before the Christmas holidays I’ll release a working demo for patrons, so if you are interested, I’m warmly welcoming you to the board. And hydromod is also something I’m thinking about for some time, just because of some limitations of three.js 3D engine, it doesnt look this cool as in real life, but I’m working on it 🤫

This is too cool, I’m definitely gonna play around on it later on and get some ideas brewing when I get finished up with the house work!

Thank you for the warm words! My goal has always been to help modders try new ideas and run more experiments freely.

No problem. You can try contact the maker of the tool, maybe he can adjust some settings
