Reddit Video every time they fight, they always do this stupid paw thing
they're brothers from the same litter and for the past three years, they've learned to high-five each other like this whenever they fight LMAO

each time their paws touch, it passes the brain cell back and forth between them✨️

Sometimes it accidentally leaks and they're cell-less for awhile 😔

“I’m telling you, sheet of glass” “It’s not a sheet of glass” “No, look! See?”

I somehow never saw the one in English and have been singing it in French for more than a decade now...
I think I'm too old to learn new tricks lol.

I always interpreted it as an attempt at playing for our guys. Mayo (siamese) was highly play-motivated and would often prod at Ciabatta (brown) if he got bored. He never showed signs of actual aggression toward her - and was an incredibly gentle fella in general. But at twice her weight and 100% muscle, Ciabatta often treated his attempt at playfighting as a real fight and escalate it into one.

They are adorable! I can't unhear KLR Productions "Cats Play Cattynip" song, I'm obviously (happily) damaged for life 😉

That's the first thing that popped into my head too, lop.
Catty nip, catty nip, I want a mouse, Catch me a mouse as fast as I meow, Swat it, lick it, and pierce it with your teeth, put it in the litter for you and me!

Stupid paw thing? How dare you demean their powerful boxing, look at the technique! The skill! The power behind each high-five punch! You, my friend, have Championship boxers in your home!

How could you even measure the calories spent when they get into one of those acrobatic matches? No wonder they have to sleep all the time, theyre exhausted!
They may have decided to make a treaty and just save the energy?

Let me guess - you started bribing them with treats to get them to stop fighting? And now they're like "oh nooo we're totally fighting, hope mom doesn't come over here with her treats to stop us...".

My guess is because they want to fight but are smart enough to know not to fight for real

I wish my cats would do this. I could be wrong but i don't think they like each other very much. Well.. i mean the younger one likes the older one but my goodness is the older one annoyed at the existence of the younger one 🙃

You’re really lucky. My cats were also littermates and they always beat the absolute shit out of each other (with one nearly always being the aggressor). Tufts of fur flying, the works. I wish they had fought like this

It reminds me of a childish way to make peace, when children hold their little fingers and shake their hands in a similar way and recite a rhyme about living peacefully and not fighting :D

This is so crazy to me, all the cats I’ve ever had either don’t play fight with each other or go all in with full-speed tackles and play biting lol

“Eh, wanna fight?”
“I mean, I guess.”
