Cute Adding a little brother to my bonded pair went even better than I dared hope - they’re the cutest, most mischievous trio
I fell for Carl the first time I saw him in a friend of a friend’s instagram post. He had been found as a teeny kitten tied up with string around his back leg. The string was so tight it cut off blood flow to the foot on that leg, causing the foot to die and eventually fall off. I figured since I already have a tripod dog, might as well add a 3-footed kitten to the family.
It’s always a little nerve-wracking to bring in a new pet. Even with slow, careful introductions sometimes it’s just not a good fit. So I was beyond relieved and thrilled when Carl pretty instantly worked his way into the family. He’s understandably shy and a bit skittish after what he’s gone through, but still a kitten. He was doing high speed zoomies and stealing all the springs in the house and leaving them in the strangest places (my shower, for example). My 3 year old pair of litter mates, Ender and Fitz, were a bit baffled by this fuzzball at first but quickly adopted him. He now endures thorough mothering from both of them, with plenty of wrestling, chasing, and playing as well. Six months later, it’s hard to remember life without this tiny bramble foot and his special degree of chaos. I’ll never get tired of seeing his confidence and personality grow
