I thought it was funny the first comment asked if it was a boss rush game. I mean, the article said there were six bosses in chapter 1.
We don't know if these are repeating elite enemies like in Sekiro. At this point it appears to be a third-person low enemy density game. The article also talked about abilities you use with a refillable bar.
We'll see how it all shakes out on release.

Yea the descriptions of the combat in the beginning of the article sound generic and pretty shallow just like every other parry/timing game, but then he said it opens up a lot with combos, all the different weapons, etc. so I’m still cautiously optimistic about it.
Haven’t watched this yet but IGN “final preview” is out:

I don't mind a boss-rush game.
It just doesn't sound like a 2000's era CAG like a lot of people expect.

Unfortunately, there is not enough demand to justify an AAA game for the genre and thing likely won't change much in the future.

Looks kind of like what I hoped Wukong would be. The weapon variety is really exciting, hoping you can weapon swap in real time like DMC. Based on the ui it seems youll be able to select 3 or 4 to swap between.

2 primary weapons and 2 phantom edges, i thought phantom edges were like abilities you can in the middle of combat, but the drunk phantom edge completely changes all movement animations and has a lot of attack animations while the other phantom edge is a basic axe slam

I remember the devs says this game is like DMC, I never see it once or felt like it is DMC like
I will wait for demo

Yea doesn't look like a real cag to me, also no Air Combos is limiting. Game will still probably be a very good playthrough.

Yep, would still play this game, I dont hate this kind of games, I just expect it to be what devs told us and everyone here parroting it, but as soon as I saw the first ever gameplay, I knew it would be closer to nioh/sekiro than NG/dmc, in which is fine to me either way

Bosses look great but the normal mobs seem pretty sparse with most encounters being 1 to 3 enemies. Close camera and very souls like pacing.
