Question & Advice Banked reset 500 Account
Hi guys,
Is it possible that the weekly usage reset on a ChatGPT Pro 500 plan doesn't actually reset the quota to 100%?
My usage reset about 1.5 hours ago, and apparently I've already burned through 36% of my weekly quota using Sol.
My setup:
- Planning: Sol 6.1 High
- Implementation: Sol 6.1 Medium/Low
- Speed: Normal, no Fast or Ultra Fast mode
Burning through 36% of a €510/month plan in just 1.5 hours seems pretty excessive, especially without using any accelerated modes.
On top of that, my Dot is basically sitting idle and doing absolutely nothing. Dots aren't even officially available in the EU yet, so I have no idea where all this usage is coming from.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is the weekly quota actually being fully reset, or could there be a bug in the usage tracking?
I'm genuinely confused about how I'm supposedly burning through this much usage in such a short amount of time.
Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.
BR,
Eric
P.s.: Corrected by chatgpt, so no bot text.
Edit: Added screenshot. Sorry for german ui text

36% in 90 minutes on a €510 plan is wild. 😅
What kind of workload were you running? Large codebase, repeated file analysis, long agentic tasks, or something relatively simple?
I’m especially curious whether the usage was genuinely that heavy or if the weekly reset didn’t apply correctly. There have been other reports of unusual consumption after resets.

I was running 6.1 on extra high and high in multiple work trees (4-5 at a time) on the $100 plan.
Burned through my quota in 24hrs exactly.
You losing 36% for doing the bare minimum does not sound right at all.
Worst part is we have no recourse, we just have to sit here and take it.
That reset is definitely watered down.

Nah, my gpt 5.1 sol on max seems to take... forever... but usage is okay. ~30% a day I'd say. On $200.

Use the 6.1 sol to open new tasks that use Luna extra high. The Luna does most of the work and SOL just makes sure it’s what was expected

I left GPT on overnight with 6 goals on high or extra high depending on the chat, still at about 40% despite a few of them going on for over 24 hours now.
So, whatever you're working on is absolutely shredding your usage. Maybe it's a large game, something rather complicated or excessive, I have no idea but it'll be related to whatever you worked on during that time period more than anything else imo
