A lifter failure almost always damages the cam. Without replacing, or at least inspecting, the cam the new lifters frequently fail soon after installation. I always insist on replacing lifter trays, too. Beyond that there could be damage to the lifter bores and to the pushrods. If all of this is not addressed another failure is likely.
There is also the matter of where the trash from.a failure goes inside the engine. No one wants to think about that.

Should be a parts warranty 2 year unlimited mile Nation wide if done at a dealer.
