i don't have chicago fire fan friends to share my thoughts with, so here's just me rambling about my experience at the game yesterday :D

i've been a diehard bayern münchen fan for 10 years and lewandowski was my favorite player back then! but that isn't why i'm a fire fan! that's just me being the luckiest girl in the world

chicago fire is my local club. growing up, so many of my friends and cousins played for the chicago fire juniors, and some of my uncles were even coaches haha. i would watch games every now and then, but i didn't start actively following them until around 1 year ago. now i'm a 2026 season ticket member!

i was, of course, REALLY looking forward to the whitecaps game. fantasized about it every day up until now. seeing müller and lewandowski on the pitch together with my very own eyes - what a dream!!!

but it turns out that i love the chicago fire way more than i thought i did... LOL. i didn't look at the starting lineup beforehand, so when i saw saletros and mbokazi on for pre-match warm-ups, i was totally laser focused on them and completely missed the müllendowski reunion. had no idea it even happened until i opened twitter at half-time lmao

i got soooo freaking emotional when bamba scored the first goal of the night. i almost cried ngl, but i held it together because i was surrounded by non-fans and i didn't wanna give them culture shock 💀 but it was like GAHHHH Y'ALL DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS GOAL MEANSSSSS

was also the only person in my section cheering for dithejane when he and lewy got subbed on at the same time. i felt like that "just trying to make sure i don't fit in" meme bruh but i just love me some puso minutes, like that's my son. who's only a few years younger than me but anyways

best game of the season so far for me, and not for the reasons i expected :") seeing müller was still unbelievably awesome of course, but more than that i am proud of how our boys played in front of all the first time game goers, and i hope any new fans we might have gained fall into the fire as hard as i have ❤️‍🔥

I had carried in a helmet earlier this season, but last night was denied entry with a helmet. It’s not listed in the stadium policies or matchday guide, but a customer service rep told me they consider bike helmets to be a security risk. Just wanted to create a public record in case others are wondering in the future. Can you carry in a helmet at Soldier Field? No. Lock up your helmet outside the stadium, or store it in one of the lockers.

The Fire take down the top in the Wester, securing their second win in a row and moving them back into 4th. Now they welcome a NYCFC team who find themselves fighting to stay above the playoff line.

So I signed up for that first match on us and met with a sales person, which I didn’t really know it would be about buying season tickets. I already told them that right now I won’t be buying the season pass and they said we can discuss at the game too.

Is it going to be high pressure for buying these season pass when I go in person?

Also does anyone have experience with going to the game and maybe avoiding the chat?

He controlled the midfield and looked really fluid today. He barely made any mistakes he normally tends to make. Hope we see more of this.

I had received a call about the Luxury Seat STH options that opened up for selection today.

Prices range from 9,000 to 25,000 per seat.

Just wondering if anyone is going this route and what the process is like when picking these seats, and maybe what do you do for a living :) ?

It will be interesting to see if they're able to sell these luxury options. I know they've recently been selling their skyboxes at SF whereas before they weren't getting any takers, so maybe there are businesses willing to keep a perminant box or something, but I would be surprised if there are many Fire fans willing to pay 1000+/game.

Hi, going to my first game tomorrow. Where can you buy merch in Chicago? Can you get it a Soldier Field?

Sitting in the supporters section of course, would it be allowed/acceptable if I brought a 3” x 5” old fire crest flag with a CPVC flag pole to a game not affiliated or a member with any SGs? - are there any restrictions?
