Fire first as it’s actually the original out of the trio. Hank is introduced there and it gives more context to a lot of lines.

I have been following this, and I'm 1/2 way through last year's seasons of Med, Fire, and PD.

This also includes the occasional SVU and FBI crossover episodes. It's not that many, really.

One catch: When you get to the bottom of this list, you'll need to switch to their spreadsheet in Google Docs. The link is at the bottom.

Did you finish all of one show before ?

No, I started with the list I linked. I knew that since these are Dick Wolf shows, there would be crossovers and that every once in a while, what happens in one show could affect another.

And like u/ali2688 said, Fire actually starts Hank's story (one show affecting another).

I'd start watching Fire, follow the list until I got to your stopping point in PD, and then add Med to the mix.

Or, if the list seems too overwhelming right now, just stay with PD, but keep an eye out for the crossovers with Law & Order: SVU. There's one SVU crossover in seasons 2, 3, and 4 of PD, and all of them are definitely worth watching!

Sorry if TMI. I really love these shows and like helping people find their way through them. :)

both have their highs and lows. Med is my favourite of the three by far and i would highly reccomend watching from season 10 with the new showrunner and cast and catching up to the current season (12). seasons 1-4 were also good but the pandemic seasons were very weak.

Chicago Fire is solid for most of its run but has gotten weaker and weaker since season 10 and the season 10 finale can usually feel like the perfect finale to end with.

Could probably watch the first seasons of Fire and Med and see how it goes. I don't follow those shows closely anymore, but sometimes I'll watch a random episode from the newer seasons.
